I don't have any room rental written contract with my houseowner. HDB detail submission is not rental contract.

QUOTE(TakoC @ Sep 10 2013, 12:12 PM) In Malaysia averagely I can save ~40% of my nett salary. Doubt I can do the same in Singapore. Hence my questions since I am not aware of the cost that people will incur in working there. It depends on your lifestyle. You only need less than 1500sgd for basic needs exclude car loan and house mortgage.I can do nothing with my 50% saved in Msia. But I can achieve a lot with the 65% saved here. I know some friends who fly every weekend for backpacking or couchsurfing. |

Since you do not want to simply change job in Sg (it's troublesome for non PR), you should look into job scope and its contribution to your career development as well. IMO without taking any other thing into consideration, I won't take 3.7 to 2.9 offer.
My gf got offered 2.5k sgd as freshgrad (she just graduated this June). She rejected it because of the job scope. |

QUOTE(the100308 @ Sep 19 2013, 12:13 PM) Experience traveller, what will be the fastest route from Hougang Ave 8 to Tanjong Pagar? Walk/bus to Hougang Central MRT. NorthEast line to Outram Park MRT, change to East West line to Tanjung Pagar. At least 40mins.Besides, is there any good gym recommendation over singapore. Prefer those like crossfit gym. (Gym without track mill, sauna and all other fancy stuff is preferable |

QUOTE(lzhaojie @ Oct 17 2013, 09:47 AM) Do headhunters/employers like to see SG address and phone number before they continue reading the resume? Job that prefers Sg and PR will have the requirement stated there. In my case, the headhunters/employers were browsing through Malaysia database so there was no such expectation. For freshgrads, the hiring manager requires English transcript, and official letter stating your graduation. They are sufficient to get you employed in Singapore even though you're not yet receive your cert, or held your convo.Pure technical jobs are highly competitive due to high supply from India/Philippines. Hybrid job which requires similar culture in critical thinking and communication skill (e.g. techincal sales, auditors) give Malaysian the highest advantage. |
