Hi all,
Anyone daily commute by car from JB/Nusajaya to Singapore? I'm wondering how much, roughly, I'm looking to put aside for the costs (VEP, ERP, parking at SG, etc.) excluding petrol.

The reason why I want to commute by car is because my work starts at odd hours, 6.30am and sometimes around 3pm, because of shift pattern.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks Mackiddo. Actually I've done my calculation based on what I found on the web, and the cost close to $1k. Just want to find out from the real experience from peeps over here.

I also want to explore an option to drive to SG and park around Jurong and take the MRT there to Tanjong Pagar.

I'm planning to stay around Nusajaya so I will be taking 2nd link. I understand that there's no free parking in SG, but was hoping that I can get cheaper (cheaper than in Tanjong Pagar/Anson Rd area) season parking around Jurong/Jurong West area and travel by MRT from there.

Any idea on how much is the season parking around Tanjong Pagar/Anson Rd?

Your reason to take MRT to avoid jam or to avoid ERP ?

Basically you are driving to 90% then jump off the car then join the sardine pack MRT.

And you work odd hours, no jam, no ERP why pay MRT. Better use the money pay season pass near working place.

Jurong area(near MRT) car park mostly taken by HDB owner already. I asked once and he say there are 30 people in queue list(priority for owner), you wanna add your name?

I guest the same for commercial car park.
With all the trouble, it better rent a room here.

IMHO, not cost-effective, not time-saving.

Yeah I was planning to avoid ERP. So if I understand correctly, if you don't have I.U. unit then you'll have to pay flat-rate for ERP per day, but if you do have it then it will be charge accordingly (based on time and day/public holiday).

I'm planning to bring my whole family here, that's why I want to explore option of staying in Johor.
