Lock 1 room also legally not allowed. They lock one room was because just in case HDB people come and check, they will open it up and says they still stay there. Legal HDB means the landlord will need to apply through HDB to rent out the entire unit. Most landlords don't want to do it cause rental is taxable

If renting illegal and HDB found out, HDB have the rights to ask the tenant to vacant the premises immediately. That's what I heard but not sure how true

Yup as I mentioned claiming to lock one room is not allowed. It's just owners exploiting the system. I personally have friends who have encountered it. HDB came knocking on the door and want to check the owner is it renting out the whole apartment illegally. Then my friends will tell HDB that the owner is overseas and not around. Subsequently they will call the owner and inform them and the owner will come and stay/wait for my friend to call them when HDB comes and they will rush back and open the door of the locked room. They will like put some clothing and furniture there. It's just an act to play around the system.

Another friend who is not so lucky. The owner basically don't care and HDB came twice. The third time HDB came down with some legal documents and my friend was told to move out on the spot at 9pm+. No excuse no leniency. All these are true life encounter. So I always rent condo to save the trouble of being lied by owners

Basically is not valid anymore. You can use your Singapore license to drive a Malaysian registered car. So far I kena once and the police and JPJ was lenient. They just let me off without anything so am not sure is it legally or they are just being nice.

Use a runner to do it for you. Basically you can have both your Malaysian and Singapore license valid

Just bite the bullet and take the low pay first. Slowly climb up the ladder. Entry level you need to take note you are fighting among the rest of the nationals like Philippines, China and India.

Best is to start in those small company that "one leg kick all". Pick up as much skill as you want and 3 years down the road focus on the skill that you are keen and go for it. IT without interest will kill your working attitude

It's tough in for a PR like me. After certain level, you basically can't go much further anymore unless you are real intelligent and play the political game well
