QUOTE(trio @ Jun 20 2013, 03:37 AM) @alaskanbunny thank you for the help! I finally found a room by advertising myself in easyroommate instead of looking through ads/agents. Highly effective. Tips for future newcomers. I will be moving to sg next week. Hope to see you guys around there Good for you.

QUOTE(inferno89 @ Jun 22 2013, 04:14 PM) Hi, all sifu sifu. I am just recently graduated and interviewed by a recruitment firm on a engineer position in singapore. However the recruitment firm charged me for 50% of the basic salary upon successfully job placement for the recruitment fee. Isit reasonable? Are you desperate enough to pay them? For me, I would never pay a dim to them as recruiters already charge the employer if I am not mistaken.

Hi guys, is buying luggage in Jb more cheaper then buying in Sg? Thinking of buying American tourister or samsonite. If the difference of price is huge, then it might be worthy for me to drag the luggage across kastam.

QUOTE(Lester1987 @ Aug 24 2013, 08:38 AM) everyone can stay in JB. It all depends on how much you are willing to sacrifice to enjoy the 2.5x conversion. I am working in Tampines (even further than Ubi) and I stay in JB. Does that answer your question? Salute to this guy.

QUOTE(reijikageyama @ Aug 24 2013, 09:17 AM) i bought an american tourister. price wise malaysia is cheaper. but i found Changi City Point to be about the same price as MYR even after conversion. Mustafa sell quite a variety of luggage. For AT, price wise but imo most is old stock and got scratch. I will drop by IMM later to check out the samsonite outlet. Thanks for replying.

QUOTE(MusicForLife @ Aug 27 2013, 08:41 PM) Any advises would be highly appreciated, it might help the others from engineering field too. Show the 'die die must do' spirit? Luck and persistence is the keywords. Try spaming every engineering co in sg for 3 month for a start.
