That's why our mum ask us study good good lo. Y no listen lol but listen to those people saying GPA is not important bla bla bla. If the us, uk ivy league foreign graduate come here, normal local uni grad also need to step one side...
Deodorant, 7-8 years ago that time the salary is like that kind of range one. Local graduate around 2k, 8k is the high end investment banking guys liao. 3 bedroom condo in Bukit Timah only 600+ k  drool.gif .

It's only if you have the brains, willpower and stamina to be good enough to get into the Ivy League/Oxbridge. Above average doesn't quite cut it :'(

Just curious, what is your qualifications (dip? degree?) and what job role are you working as? To be honest $1.1k is a very low starting pay ... one of our member tayhaithian got offer as $7k as fresh grad a year ago and now already $8k++++.

I guess he already make up his decision to come to sg to work so that can stay close to you. he should know what is his bottom line for salary, mean he know what he deserve for. that just try to apply at malaysia and singapore, no one can guarantee which interview come first. if you follow this thread then you know job hunting is depend one, some get within few week, few month, some even still searching...

Ya, but i think best practice is to apply from both side, high chance he will get offer from malaysia first, then work and continue to find job, job hunting meanwhile earning money, win win condition rclxms.gif

Just bite the bullet and take the low pay first. Slowly climb up the ladder. Entry level you need to take note you are fighting among the rest of the nationals like Philippines, China and India.

Best is to start in those small company that "one leg kick all". Pick up as much skill as you want and 3 years down the road focus on the skill that you are keen and go for it. IT without interest will kill your working attitude smile.gif

It's tough in for a PR like me. After certain level, you basically can't go much further anymore unless you are real intelligent and play the political game well smile.gif
