i got a job somewhere at Thomson Road.
im thinking to rent a room in JB, drive and park my car at jb custom then take bus to work.
my working hours is frm 9-6pm, which area i should stay in JB? how early i should goes out frm home in the morning to avoid traffic jam? is it easy to find a parking at custom?
*
There is always human and vehicle traffic jam in the early hours at checkpoint...went 6am also packed but moving
2hrs later reached imm building

That's 150 minutes travel time.one way for me

Ample parking at open air car park beside jb sentral

I think the most main reason is that the rental here is too expensive, so they die die also want stay at JB where with same amount of money, you can rent a landed unit.

Sgd600 for couple room at woodlands
That's already 2 months of my house monthly payment

My opinion: Madness. Is your time worth so little that you'll gladly sacrifice 15-20 hrs a week just driving?

Stay JB work SG only works, IMO, if you travel off peak, if you ride a bike, if you work west and stay gelang patah or north and stay JB, these kind of scenario.
*
or buy a house at bukit indah to so can travel to jurong east mrt ...

ahhhaa ...

since when does low cost flat costs so much ???

first, i salute you. Bkt Indah to Changi is not really near. You actually can easily figure it out by using your mobile maps application. It's around 70km. Can do under 1 hour in smooth traffic.
*

you trust you friend or me now?  flex.gif

eh, you got msian license before working in sg or not? if not then you cannot take in msia after coming in sg then convert... have to take from scratch... only those that got it before coming can convert...
*
QUOTE(crazy25kid @ Jul 30 2013, 09:49 AM)
ur existing license does not allow u to ride a motor?
so if you get your motor license now in m'sia, i do not think it is applicable for conversion
iinm, u need to get the license 6 months prior to your long term pass/visa (your PR...or probably EP)
that is why they require the slip from JPJ
*
yeah i have malaysian driving lincese before becoming PR...

then too bad for me since need to taking it from stracth...

aisay ....
