OK...i just came across this post....I think I just got mindblown!

When you say fresh grad I am assuming below 25, top uni degree

7k ???!!!!!!! What kind of company/job will offer such a pay to a fresh grad?
And pardon me for being so surprised....I thought 5k for fresh grad is very high already... I'm a toad in a small island afterall....
*
Hint: Ang moh investment banks. Doesn't matter which degree you got, as long as among the top few of your batch yeah you are hired.

I think agent play a big role too. Currently I rented 2 rooms in a unit. Only landlord, old uncle, staying inside but not staying in recently cuz hospitalized due to health complication. Allowed visitors and overnight plus cooking.
*
Tenant play another role too. Good tenant, landlord happy, continue contract and no rental raise after contract expired. Bad tenant, landlord angry, kick out before or after contract, use deposit to repair finishing and sometime charge extra for damage done to unit.

Go with girl,... rent a car or take taxi lah. Take bus meh?

You never watch movie where the girl gets into her new bf's car while he old bf watches sadly from the window of the bus as it drives away?
*
Objection!!! Not all girls talk gold no talk heart one leh.

Walking is more romantic, especially rainy days now, light drizzle under an umbrella wah like Korean love movie. If rain cat and dogs then find a deserted temple, raise a fire with some woods and wah single boy single girl, dry wood fierce fire, thunder lightning cross over - continue your own version of HK * star movie here hehe. Both are favourable for you.

QUOTE(ju146 @ Aug 6 2013, 06:25 PM)
decision made d, will go back cab.....

Long queue for cab, people look at you like you owe them money, screaming kids, certain rude foreign talent pushing you from behind...

Bus 2 way at Rm113

Airasia currently got promotion, so to-fro will be Rm153 inclusive all charges

considering plane only takes 1 hour ==>total 2
bus 5 hours each ==> total 10.

The 8 hours that i can save definitely work the extra Rm40. Way to go air asia

The rental for one HDB is more than enough to pay monthly installments.....if got to rent for 2 years++, very heart pain to see money flows down the drain.....plus after 2 years+, what price the HDB will be then.... hmm.gif Fulamak this measure....
*
Good return ma. The landlords bought it for investment so now they getting what they hope for lol. When you own one you will like the price hike. For a unit bought in 2006, the rent is about 1.5 time the installment (on the low side though I heard).

WHy so specific only for unit bought in 2006? Is it because it's your own unit that you rented out for 1.5x of installment?  brows.gif
*
Just happen to know the owner well. If buy now, can't earn much, the rent hard to cover the installment already.

QUOTE(roystevenung @ Aug 30 2013, 04:21 PM)
Deswai I am looking for an agent in SG to help my friend get SG medical insurance for his 6 year old daughter.

Secondly if she needs admission for emergency, a malaysian class policy means the mother needs to pay in cash and get reimbursed based on customary rate as charged by a malaysian hospital.

If the bill is Rm10k, not an issue, but if the bill is Rm100k  sweat.gif

Hence as much as I want to give my client a Malaysian class policy, my conscience is saying its not practical  thumbup.gif

Deal over the net means the agent is able to help my client get the insurance by answering him via email or whatsapp etc.

Thanks for your help

I got both medical card for SG and MY. My MY agent told me I can claim full amount in SG using the MY one? She scam me?

one of my auntie living in JB and having family business at spore. The other auntie son dotter all in spore then keep encouraging me follow their steps.
*
Ask her why she doesn't stay in SG lo. Ask the sons and daughters how their life in SG also. Aunties always boast only the good things around.

Starting on your early career may be better, but setting up a family here is much more expensive. One baby nanny 2.5 k per month, car to transport the baby around, house renovation, baby medical fee. Early this year nephew come for a one month visit, we burnt few months of saving on him. One fever in the middle of night, rush to A&E, test this jab that, bill come out 4 digits vmad.gif .

Typical see high praise, see low step.

So you mean you comparing with those of us that are not doing as well as you and laugh at us for not earning as much or as easy as you?

In Malaysia averagely I can save ~40% of my nett salary. Doubt I can do the same in Singapore. Hence my questions since I am not aware of the cost that people will incur in working there.
*
Refer to the first page for the average expenses.

I apologize if you got the wrong idea. Just trying to understand in dept. If you refer 'we' as dumb, that would means me too as I got offered to work in Singapore too. Hence the question.
*
Hmm... You know the salary they offered to you already, then told you already the expenses is in the first post of this thread (around 1500 btw if you add them up, the figures are contributed by many people here, should be accurate enough for people starting from beginning). Basic maths will tell you how much you will be saving and decide yourself worth or not to move here leaving your friends and family back home lo. Why still keep asking worth or not leh? Those that are here already surely say worth for their situation right.
