QUOTE(KeroroQ @ Jun 5 2013, 04:51 PM) Look out for a used Yamaha F310, +1 for Yamaha F310. Used to own one. Should up your budget to RM300 to get something which will last you a little longer, as after a couple of months you'll probably be quite unhappy with the RM200 subpar quality. F310 very popular beginner choice for good reason.should be around RM300, best bang for buck beginner guitar! Another one I'll recommend will be Compass acoustic guitar, good sound and playable straight out from the box! |

QUOTE(sibun @ Jun 6 2013, 12:18 AM) If you don't know how to play guitar, bringa friend that knows how with you and ask his opinion whether the action is low enough or whether the fretboard is comfy or not Your first guitar will probably last you for years to come, so pick well cause a bad guitar will kill your interest in no time This post has been edited by KeroroQ: Jun 6 2013, 12:36 PM |

F310 very popular beginner choice for good reason. +1 too. I would not spend too much as a beginner. After learning it and confirming that I really wanna continue, then I would spend about RM1000+ for a solid top guitar. Won't get any guitar between RM400-900 unless the RM900+ is a solid top. |

L.Luthier is not too bad either and it is cheap below RM300, if i'm not wrong about the price. another is Hofma but a tad above RM300.

QUOTE(sibun @ Jun 6 2013, 12:18 AM) My advice is, with the limited budget range, just try to focus on a single goal. you can't have the best of both world (acoustic + pickup[electronic]) in a guitar with that amount of price. Even if they do exist, will be on the slightly bad quality (built) correct me if i'm wrong. Try to focus on just purely guitar without pickups. can try local brands like kapok, cort (not sure can get with this price or not). My first guitar is a cap ayam. but the playability sucks major time. the action is too high and painful for young delicate beginners guitar. This will often set back a player just trying to learn. But some hardcore ppl like it that way cuz they say that will train their finger strength. I upgraded to a decent guitar soon afterwards not long after my fingers start to swollen due to the high action. |
