Need some advice on what you collectors think of the Soldier Story STGCC Exclusive USAF Parajumper figure that is being released for USD199.90.

I do not collect 1/6 Military figures but seeing that i am now hooked on "Inside Combat Rescue" on NatGeo HD i am very impressed with the figure and the plethora of accessories it comes with. I probably have missed out on the earlier PJay's that were released by Toy City and more recently Hot Toys but is this Exclusive worth it? On the 1/6 Warrior thread there were positive views on the figure but a lot of grumbling on the pricing of the Exclusive.

Would any of you Military collectors consider this figure for your collections? How and what is so exclusive about this item? Can anyone help as i am headin South for STGCC this weekend and am contemplating the purchase

yup tat price for ekclusive abit overkill...normal version for SS around RM 360-400. Since it was a paratroop, so the equipment & gear r more compared to other soldier (got extra an-tank bazooka). In military figure, SS gain upper hand interm of detail & quality. Some SS rifle can be diassembly. Btw, i like this among of ss products

if over price, u can get other normal version of SS or Toy city product, it cheap compared to HT.

RM 6++ for that figure...NO. With that price can get 2 units already.

Suddenly feels that the Play Imaginative super alloy gold Iron Man is worth more than mark 21 from HT...juz my thought.

There were many similar figures to this released by soldier story, I was tempted to go to stgcc to get it as well but after looking at the price i decided against it and got the SS USAF JTAC version instead...which i just received it today rolleyes.gif . The only interesting item which the PJ figure had would be those ropes but that alone doesn't justify the price and this would probably be the most priciest exclusive version.

In my opinion, it depends on what you want to aim for?

Because those three offer difference items (shoes, championship trophy, MVP trophy, different head sculpt, and different set of hands), there is nothing that worth or not worth because three of them stands for MJ.

Personally, I would choose the Red #23, because that is the iconic MJ, more stronger, feel, the red bull.

Consider kitbashing it.U can get parts from ebay to mix and match.Search playhouse vbss to get rappelling rope, Dam and SS oso previously had released rappelling glove. The key difference is the new peltor headset, jpc plate carrier which recently released by Dam on Marsoc figure and a new iteration of arteryx jacket.
For accuracy sake you need to swap jtac headset to the regular single radio.Since you want PJ no harm to hunt down a tourniquet as well.Lastly some usaf patch or print your own pj tags.
Down the road SS might release another PJ like they did before with back to back marine figures announcement.Or if not Dam will just come out with one just to spite SS.

Well I haven't really thought of how i am going to kitbash my JTAC yet, I am not really into PJs though I was lurking on ebay hoping to pick off some ropes from either ss or hot toys. Have not seen you update your blog for some time now, was wondering when are you going to do another tutorial for another figure.
