The paintjob's needs to be redone as well. Sandpaper it, or use paint stripper for a much quicker job. Then spray primer, for about 3 layers and then sandpaper the primer lightly. Then respray again with paint.
You have to redo really....finish something that you start off. Don't leave it like that.
