. DOTA Version = 6.27b
. Website for FULL DETAILS and R&R
. 3 weekly preliminaries, starting from the 7th of May 2006.
. FREE registration for teams each week. Save RM175 !
. Max teams each week = 16 Teams. Teams register on a first come first serve basis.
. Format = Single elimination.
. Winners of the weekly preliminaries will move on to the Final 8 double elimination tourney.
. Winners of the weekly preliminaries will receive RM200 as prize money.


The DOTA Preliminaries are played only on Sundays.

1st week = 7th of May 2006
2nd week = 14th of May 2006
3rd week = 21st of May 2006


Once again, please refer to the website for any news or changes to the tourney.

ugh 5.84c.... sigh

Don't understand what is on Clutch Gamer's mind. There is no more reason to use 5.84c. No other country still plays it, SMM has its own 6.27b tournament and proved to work well, every other small tourny is steadily switching, and now they expect people to play 2 versions. 1.5k and 30k, which is more favourable? =)

Besides, won't SMM''s tourny and ESWC clash?

Hmm... not really... only the 1st week for qualifier match will clash the date with SMM qualifier in Selangor.

HUrray Mas is finally movin forward wif dota no more stone age 5.84c Just make the Rules same wif the SMM scoring system bah.. all Dota gamers will have no prob wif it since they all familiar wif the SMM 30k rules

hmm.... this year ESWC DOTA Challenge become so small scale compare to last year......

IIRC, last year ESWC DOTA Cup hosted prelims in a number of states, how come this year prelims only held in PJ, kinda anticlimatic,

The finals last year have 32 teams compete for the Grand Prize, this year only 8 teams.......

Week 1 to 3 Prelims = 16 teams each.
Week 4 Prelims = 32 teams.

Final 8 for the double elimination finals = 3 winners from Week 1 to 3 + Top 5 teams from Week 4.

Lol Derrick, wanna marshal again for me this year ? = p Justin also a marshal. We offered him 24 cartons of left-over Ribena from last year's WCG as pay and he gladly signed up.

Just a quick update ...

The website has been updated with the new prize structure and rules for the tourney.

Also, the 3 weekly prelims are totally FOC. No registration/entry fees, no login/pc usage fees. All you have to do is come down to Clutch Gamers and register your team.

The winning team for each week's prelims will receive RM200 and a spot in the Top 8 finals.

The DOTA Prelims are played on Sundays. e.g 1st week = on the 7th of May 2006

Registraion closes on the day itself at 10:30 am for the weekly prelims. Please register early to ensure your spot for the particular week your team wishes to play in. = )
