as you can imagine, ive had very little luck with them. perhaps you have a the technique? i mean, how do you make sure they have the correct angles and how do you make sure they're all of the same sizes? ive searched in photoshop's help file but i didnt get any results sad.gif

id really appreciate your help! notworthy.gif

ive just had this crazy idea. i'd do it all with a pencil and some proper instruments on paper, then take a pic of it with my camera and to photoshop.

thanks for the suggestions anyway! notworthy.gif

Are you doing it on a 2d meter?
if so, just draw one 'tick' on a new layer first, and move the tick on top of the meter, then select the transparency of the meter layer, while still selecting the 'tick' layer.
push ctrl+T, and on top of the screen look for the 5th field labelled Rotate...
insert any angle into it and push Enter.
After that, push ctrl+shift+alt+T until you get a full circle of 'ticks'...

You may have to improvise a bit, I just came up with this idea..... unsure.gif
