Thanks to the long weekend, finally some time to do some building. Wanted to see how a Lego harbour looks like when I placed 3 of the harbour sets together. Took me the whole day to build the sets 6540 to 6542. sweat.gif

With a little modification this intersection can combine with the other 2.

It even looks ok when I placed the boat from the Extremis set into the diorama. The boat all look in proportion with one another.

Since the police set has 4 highly trained policeman, the baddie cannot get away and was later caught!

And now for the reason I think I need to slow down on Lego; look at the amount of cardboard I have collected over the past 1 year! You can see some really big sets among the pile.

How you check and balance your account? hmm.gif
*
Actually it is 1 year plus minus 2-3 months. My income actually increased in the past 2 years or so that is why can afford to buy so much. It didn't help I bought 3 modulars last year to complete my modular collection (PS, TH, FB), then the PC this year.

As for check and balance, try not to overspend in the month after I overspend. Like last month spend more than 1k then this month must spend less or none at all. But small purchases like RM 100 extremis sea battle or RM 100 picit-picit spree can do a 1-2 times. Keep telling myself to save up for bigger sets this coming June July when the UCS X-Wing or Mobile crane is released. sweat.gif

I think we can sue Tesco for this, is clearly not a Promosi Hebat, more like water fish come, i slaughter you. The Speedorz price are way more expensive than all the other retailer. I think TRU selling some of the Hero Factory at 44.90 also. . .
*
I do not think we can do that since ALJ give Tesco the recommend retail price and it is up to Tesco to decide how much they want to sell. Lego isn't exactly a controlled item like rice etc. I have heard TRU in the US marking up prices and then discounting them but this is the first time I heard Tesco doing it.

Heck, I think Tesco has been doing this "Promosi hebat" scam for items other than Lego too, just that it that not so obvious since Lego is mostly sold at a fixed price all around M'sia.

Below is the initial price comparison:
1) Lego US (shop.lego.com)
2) Toys 'R' Us (HK)
3) Shop in HK

Highlight yellow is cash exchange rate.
Highlight in orange is cheaper than US Lego online.

Wow, the price like shocking.gif

Dude, I don't care if there is a box or not, as long you can bring back some of those sets at those bargain prices I would gladly buy!

Too bad I already have the Palace Cinema already and no UCS X-wing yet....

I am shocked.. Can't believe ALJ is so generous nowadays... RM649.90 for a modular.....  shocking.gif If u are bbt member means RM584.80 for a modular... 2x shocking.gif ...I should go register myself as a member asap...

Modular price is really good. Previous modulars was 899 or more. Then the creator house the previous large house was 300+. With such a good price I think can buy TWO Palace Cinemas to buy a bigger cinema....

Now mind#@$@#$ already rclxub.gif So should I buy:-
1) Star Wars Gunship - I wanted to buy the previous version, but the price kept me from buying it
2) Creator Tree house
3) Creator large house
4) Friends dolphin cruiser
5) Friends middle school
6) Galaxy Squad Galactic Titan
7) The entire Galaxy Squad theme
8) Technic crane MK2
9) Town square
10) LOTR Council of Elrond
and the list continues whistling.gif

Confirm buy is no. 2, 3, 6 and 8. The rest is pending. I still got some sets have not even build yet.

Hard to be a taikun sometimes sweat.gif

All the best bro.... Once u into modulars... u will try to complete it... believe me...  cry.gif

I am already too far down the modular path already! sweat.gif
Attached Image

Sometimes I regret not starting a little sooner so that I can get the Cafe Corner while it was still affordable. Space is still under control, but if I continue at this pace I think I will run out of space very soon.

Oh, I forgot to add another to the list: UCS X-Wing doh.gif

Is that ur working table? Hahaha... Another way to use those modulars... To prevent ppl spy-ing u what u doing..  tongue.gif

Not my personal working table. Sort of like a table in the living room for dining, doing work and more. Its size is really good for taking photo of all the modulars though.

shocking.gif Wow, like the unofficial ALJ here already! Heck, even better than ALJ since you brought in the Maersk and X-Wing already. My guess your house is like a mini warehouse at the moment?

Not really "Promosi hebat" since I saw My. DIY selling it cheaper at RM 39.90. I am assuming this was at Tesco Mutiara D'sara?
