Hi, like what the sifus have said earlier, you can still get 3677 at a 'decent' price so if it's to your liking you should aim for that first. Not everyone like the 3677, most prefer 7939 and 7938.

You will most likely end up with Power Functions so 7938 and 7939 will be a good start. 10233 doesn't come with Power Functions and will be funny when you have other trains zooming round the circuit and the 10233 needs to be pushed along... lol! You will need to consider adding Power Functions once you get 10233, that will come later but you should expect this to happen because you need it, not by choice...

10219 Maersk Train and 10194 Emerald Night are considered "exotic" now so if you want to save your wallet you should steer clear of them.... In fact, don't even look up those set numbers! You will seriously regret!!! First regret for looking, second regret for not buying them sooner, third regret for having to pay $$$ for them... Regret betul! doh.gif  doh.gif  doh.gif  lol!

Jokes aside, there will always be newer trains to be released by Lego. Who knows, with both 10219 and 10194 retired and market in short supply of these two 'classics' there is a chance a new classic train will be released soon...

You're right, building a Lego City is a labour of love (my wife definitely do not share this view!:x) and frankly it will never be complete because it is ever changing with new buildings/features being added and dismantled... The fun and joy is really in the process of building. biggrin.gif
*
Couldn't agree more! why did you have to go and do a bulk order on Maersk Train??? rclxub.gif cry.gif shakehead.gif

Legoland kakis, do you know of anything worth getting or offers at Legoland? Planning to do a trip this week with the family. Not planning to grab any big items though.

Thanks!

Lol looks like a lot of us using the same case. I'm using that to store all the extra pieces as well hahaha
Superb MOC bro!! Post it in MOCPages lol
Lol not a problem at all. Anyway Alby has a bigger shipment than just Winter Village hahahaha
I think bro faish888 is going LLM this weekend. Perhaps he can help check.
*
Yeah, was at LLM yesterday. Sorry did not have much time to survey and take photos inside shop. A lot of sets as usual, including new releases like palace cinema, LoTR and Star Wars. Didn't see new creator or friends sets but I wasn't really looking. Lots of open boxes of cmf s8-10, keychains, new minifig magnets at rm30, wedding set, brick calendar, some poly bags (spring and summer scene, rocking horse, turkey, witch head). Discounts for annual pass holders only for pick a brick and build a minifig, engraving. Nothing worth buying, in my opinion. smile.gif

Will stopover at LLM on the way back tomorrow and getting a few wedding sets in case anyone wants.

Pooh! cry.gif I can feel your pain, bro. Unfortunately these are the risks of buying and selling online. That's why some ppl prefer buying from brick and mortar stores or COD. Every time I ship an item to a buyer, I wonder if it will reach the buyer safely in one piece.

The 7939 yellow cargo train is really selling at premium here  shakehead.gif  (USD180 =/= RM700-800 ? )
It's twin-sister is 7938 red passenger train is selling at good price locally (USD130 =/= RM400-450 +/-)

For ratio comparison, 7939 should be about RM580-630 only. Can be cheaper if tycoon here can do GB  whistling.gif

It's elder-brother is the discontinued 3677 red cargo train (USD160)

... not forgetting extended family of 9467 ghost train (ghost of ancestor), 4841 hogwarts express (cousin Harry), 7597 toy story train (little cousin Woody) and 7898 cargo train (grand uncle).

I think that expands the family tree further. tongue.gif

I had my parts packed like that before too! By any chance your BL seller is from Singapore?

Breaking news!!
Was planning to order 5 more boxes of CMF Series 10 but supplier reverted that it is out of production! ohmy.gif  Can anyone else confirm that Series 10 is EOL?!? No wonder Series 11 coming soon, hunt for Mr. Gold is working well for Lego from business point of view...

I can still get the smaller box of 30, wonder if have equal chance of finding Mr. Gold? hmm.gif
*
Even though CMF S10 is EOL I'm sure many suppliers will still have lots of stock. As for Mr Gold, there must still be many "hidden" somewhere waiting to make their appearance.

I wonder why Lego decided not to release a Mrs Gold in S11? There are many complimenting minifigures in S11. I think we can expect the rest of the Gold family to appear in later series. thumbup.gif

lol! Sorry I have bad news to report... Last night I checked price and stock availability of 4195 with my supplier and guess what? Have stock but price jumped by 20 Euros!! shocking.gif  rclxub.gif Moreover the Euro has gone past 4.2, getting expensive to import...

I don't want to order anymore... you guys who bought earlier had a good deal. wink.gif  thumbup.gif

So based on the latest development... RM940 for a MISB isn't too far off the mark now especially if it is perfect box. I regret being so nice to all the buyers of QAR... Should've kept all for myself and let it appreciate... tongue.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Nice way of making your QAR customers feel even more satisfied and those who missed out.... vmad.gif

Should have hauled first and not have to regret now... cry.gif

Palace Cinema 10232- RM580 & Town Square 60026 - RM380, is it OK?
*
60026 should be able to get ard rm300 or below if wait a while. Usually newly released sets are at premium but will be discounted by online retailers later. Patience is gold! biggrin.gif

10232 is a good price.

If i remember correctly i think i've read from somewhere that distribution for a box of 30 CMF is the same as 60 CMF. Just divide by half.
*
... and 1/2 of Mr Gold if you find him. For the other half, have to search in other boxes of 30's. whistling.gif drool.gif rclxub.gif
