This place no difference from BT, Comptel or Experian. Hire, fire whenever can get cheaper slaves...

SCRUM is the best mgmt tool all this so call MNC uses with daily meeting summon, 1 to 1 interrogation until another cheap slave comes by...

For those who interested to work with an MNC like SWIFT, I suggest you don't listen to anyone here, but head to their office with your resume.
Go there and experience yourself the working environment.

It is your career, who else would care so much for you?
Don't forget, there is lots of people don't want you to know how good is SWIFT, just as there are some people want you to have the best of SWIFT.
You just have to find your own way.

There is good and bad Lowyat member here.

2. How one experience their life totally depends on how their think. So, if one people says that company is bad, that doesn't mean anything to you, it is just that that person sees thing differently from you.

My final word is - "Go there and find out yourself" - other can't tell at all.

I think those who got no job, then is ok to gamble with such company who adopt "hire/fire" policy. For those already with stable job, if you jump ship just for the extra dollars then think carefully. And for those who ask for exceptionally below market rate also alright to join such "hire/fire" company as nobody can be cheaper then you.

an advice from me , if you are hired as consultant or contractor.

if you are an IT engineer , please go for professional certifications e.g MCSE , RHCE,LPI,CISSP and so on ..

if you had these certification(s) , please renew it if expired.

because this is the time you guys should upgrade yourself . there was too many job offers but the firm would to see evidence like these.

people nowadays are brilliant , they would able to pass the interview , and demonstrate their knowledge merely by mouth story and assumptions.

but if you had these pro certs , you are in another level .

unless the firm offers you below than it should be . like RHCE certified or CISSP certified , but you just getting below 10k wages . that is not fair .

like

RHCE certified (with experience 10 years) , minimum you should get = RM 11k . Max ? can be above 20k , if you can demonstrate new tech , like cgroups , virtualizations etc
CISSP certified (with experience 10 years) , minimum you should get = RM 15k. Max ? can be above 25k , if you can demonstrate diff tech , like ransomware, malware , intrusion detection etc

No idea. Maybe you can convey that question to the facilitator .

I believe it is their standard of work for both HR and learning Dept.

to those who plan to apply jobs at swift, u need to have godlike patience and be prepared to wait for a very very long time before u can actualy start work (assuming u pass everything, interviews etc)

i am jobless since july and i applied for swift few months ago (yes few months ago) and i gotta say this is by far one of the worst job hunting experience for me, its just taking forever just to get employed by swift

heres a summary of my experience

1) sent the application in early august after saw the job ad in jobstreet (yes that was more than 3 months ago dry.gif )

2) they replied in mid of september (took them more than 1 month to respond, i was abit blur and surprised and hav to recall that i actualy sent my application to them)

3) 1st interview began on mid of september, passed all rounds but 3 rounds of interviews took 1 month (they only called 3 weeks after the 1st interview  doh.gif ), last interview is on mid of october

4) passed all interview and got the verbal offer few days after the 3rd interview, around mid of october too, they say hav to go thru background checks and wait for offer letter

5) until now mid of november (after 1 month), still no offer letter doh.gif , wait and wait and wait, emails to them go unresponded, dont even know what is happening
so there u go, 3+ months since i applied for the job and till today still no offer letter and thrs no follow up on their side, just taking their own sweet time, come on swift, pls be more efficient, u cannot b expecting a jobless person to wait for so long, i already waited for 3+ months for this swift job and even rejected a few job offers just to work for swift, and here i am nw blindly waiting for the offer frm swift that never comes doh.gif

If you told them that you have another job offer pending. They would not have done this to you in the first place.

thru jobstreet or their website, for mine i use jobstreet

u can try to apply using jobstreet, but b warned that the whole process is going to take 3 months or more (assume if u pass every interview and receive the offer)

Thanks!, Anyway what position you have applied?
If want to submit CV by hand it is applicable with Swift?

What do they need for background checks? As rigid as banks?
