No concern on this strategy as I also do that.

I have multiple payments though M2U before next statement is generated. Most of the them, my statement balance is zero.
*
Hmmm, interesting strategy to have zero statement balance. hmm.gif Never thought of that.
For me I'll fully enjoy the 20-day (up to 50-day, for those swipes just after statement date) free credit period and pay only near due date. tongue.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Went redeem my parkson voucher today. The CS told me TP for RM50 parkson voucher is going to revise when end August or September. From current 9,300 to approx 12,000.
*
Which CS?
Did you redeem at Parkson or MBB Card Centre?
Are there any TP requirement variations if redeem between the 2 places?

Hmmmm....I have just checked the MBB TP online catalog.
=======================
RM30 KFC voucher needs 7000TP
RM10 McD voucher needs 3000TP
=======================
I remembered I redeemed before with the rate of 200TP for RM1.
Did MBB raised the TP requirements recently?

Luckily I used quite a bit of TP (almost 90k) in the recent Treat Fair.

redemption at one stop centre gives better value:

RM10 McDonalds Gift Voucher
2000

RM30 KFC/Pizza Hut/Ayamas/Rasamas Gift Vouchers (RM10x3)
6000
*
I have checked back my past redemption receipts.
What Human Nature quoted was exactly what I got back in March this year. The rate is 200TP=1RM. nod.gif
I have the same logic as ronnie for not redeem anything lower value than 200TP=1RM. laugh.gif

hmmm..u just reminded me that i did that some time ago, maybe a month ago..i totally forgot it...
now my credit limit is still the same...dunno got progress or not...zzzz

said to hear alot of the voucher will need more TP after 1st aug...

anyone know what is the due date for the voucher if i redeem parkson voucher on the spot, say, on today?
i always redeem and use in the same day.
*
I went to redeem Parkson vouchers this afternoon. 9300 TP for RM50. Not bad lah. rclxms.gif
Might as well redeem fast fast before the TP value goes down. Now just left with 3k TP. tongue.gif
Validity is exactly 1 year from voucher issued date.

The best is using "M2U Own Account Schedule Fund Transfer". No more over due penalty. But if you insist to pay on the due date itself and If you are an android phone user,  Then I highly recommend ZDclock for this simple job. It will alert you every month 1 to 5 days before or on the due date.
*
aeiou228, give me five! I am a regular user of ZDclock too. I installed it in all my android smartphones.
I use it to alert me for cc payment, remind me to verify ibg status, etc.
Set it up as repeat reminders. It has early ring feature too. thumbup.gif
Too many cards, repayments, ibg every months to do. laugh.gif
Like the zdclock daily chime as well.

Is there any jalan to pay Great Eastern and AXA premium with Amex ?
Haha..indeed. It reminds me road tax renewal, prepaid SIM card termination date, things to do, things to buy, etc but never use it on credit card remider though coz I'm using the scheduled payment method.
*
Sorry, don't have GE and AXA to confirm this...Mine is eTiQa, accept Amex but weekday only. doh.gif Only 2xTP which worth 0.8% now. doh.gif doh.gif

Even for schedule payment, you will need (a reminder) to key in every month, right? As the amount will be diff every month.
Questions on schedule payment:
- only within MBB and not IBG, right?
- what time will the schedule payment trigger? Morning, noon, nite?

Have this trick works? Somehow I tried this trick before with my assessment fee.
I have my assessment autopay with AMEX. For July-December payment, I got the statement by first week of July. So immediately pay using OCBC on 7/7/2013 to get 5% rebate. However, on 30/7/2013, the payment from assessment autopay kicks in AMEX.  sweat.gif
*
QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Aug 4 2013, 05:58 PM)
you can apply autopay with AMEX too.
to gain the 5x TP and possibly weekend rebate.

but again, not sure it's worth the extra effort just to save around RM1 (technically, if I manually pay with AMEX on weekend, I'll be paying RM199 full, therefore the RM20 is worth around RM1 of rebate and another 2% of TP).

Unless you are relying on the possibility of weekend rebate for the autopay.

Question is what if you forget to pay within the 7 days of the month prior to the autopay deadline. Are you willing to take the risk?
*
To get this trick to work, the timing is important.
You'll need to pay before the bill is generated.
I have tried that with auto-debit TNB with ocbc and then pay using Amex during weekend after the bill generated.
But ocbc still pay the full bill amount again. So double pay!
Hence, you will need to pay first (RM178 per example above) before Unifi gen the bill to let the bill as RM19 (RM21 with RM2 discount, per example above).
Then Master card will auto debit RM19 per bill amount.

I was almost wanted to do it for TNB and Unifi, but as pointed out above you will gain < RM1 for Unifi. And forgot how much TNB discount on auto-debit. Maybe will skip it. As I used to over pay to max out unused CB. As overpay will not get auto-debit discount. laugh.gif

Generally, for transactions that you don't use your physical card to process the payment, you should receive a SMS, with the exception for those with standing instructions (etc: auto billing for utility bills, annual insurance auto debit). Transactions with physical card presence, there will be no SMS (at the restaurant, petrol station, shopping complex).

You should receive a call if there are huge transactions. For instance, purchases over RM20k, the bank office will call you to confirm if you did perform such a transaction.

I get sms for those swipes marked in red above. It is triggered based on the threshold amount you set. I set mine to RM1. icon_idea.gif

Alert guys. My MB2K Master has fraud transaction "STREETDEAL SINGAPORE" yesterday. Received transaction detail via sms alert. It was < RM200. Lucky that I had set my threshold to RM1, otherwise it will go through without alert. sad.gif

I did use the card online at Streetdeal a week ago. Suspected my card info was leaked in that transaction and used by the hacker on yesterday's transaction. It was suppose to be a secured site with https. vmad.gif

I had call CS to stop the card. Transaction is at floating status but still need to fill dispute form. Replacement card will be ready in 3-4 biz days and only collectable at card center.

Edit: Just re-checked that I did receive MSOS for my last week transaction before it got through. But I didn't receive MSOS for the fraud transaction yesterday, but received the transaction alert sms straight away. Super hacker bypassing MSOS. Be really alert guys! sad.gif vmad.gif

i had the same experience as you but mine was an UOB card.  i remembered that Streetdeal SG website, the page that you key in cc details is not secured (not https) therefore our details were stolen from there.  i only complained to UOB on the dispute and they did not require me to pay a single cent and no need to file in any dispute form. as you mentioned, there was no MSOS code came in for the unauthorised transaction
*
Hmmm, I just did a test, and it is https (refer screenshot attached).
So, your experience also without MSOS? Wonder how could that been bypass/compromised.
Was feeling safe with the MSOS security measure, but seems it could be bypass by hacker, then it is not so secure anyway. doh.gif vmad.gif

Edit: Just noticed that there is a mobile number field on the payment screen. Don't tell me the MSOS is sent to the one keyed in on the screen and not based on the registered mobile number kept with the card issuer bank? doh.gif doh.gif

MSOS is implemented by the merchant. If the merchant doesn't implement then you will not be SMSed. Its not that its bypassed.

Merchant who do not implement this run higher risk because customer can file dispute with AMEX and Maybank will not pay the merchant the money, so real merchant will have incentive to do MSOS. Of course con job merchants won't. For us, as long as we realize the transaction and complain, we don't lose much.
*
Yes, understand that MSOS is merchant's choice to implement.
But for this site they DO implement MSOS. I received MSOS sms in my genuine transaction before. But not trigger on the fraud transaction.

Because the fraud transaction is not from that merchant?

doh.gif I mentioned both are from same merchant, streetdeal lah, that's why wonder how come the hacker can bypass MSOS.
My first genuine purchase got MSOS and transaction alert sms. The second fraud case just transaction alert sms.

my fraudulent transaction occured 2 day after my purchase at Streetdeal.sg.  shouldn't have used the cc payment method, Paypal is much more secured

Ya, I should have chosen the paypal option that day. Will use paypal in future.

statement date changed to 31st

Just curious what will the statement date be on months without 31th... hmm.gif
Thought banks won't allow this change request.
I guess, in this case, it is moving statement date and fixed due date (20th) as oppose to the more common one of fixed statement date and moving due date.
