Have this trick works? Somehow I tried this trick before with my assessment fee.
I have my assessment autopay with AMEX. For July-December payment, I got the statement by first week of July. So immediately pay using OCBC on 7/7/2013 to get 5% rebate. However, on 30/7/2013, the payment from assessment autopay kicks in AMEX.

you can apply autopay with AMEX too.
to gain the 5x TP and possibly weekend rebate.
but again, not sure it's worth the extra effort just to save around RM1 (technically, if I manually pay with AMEX on weekend, I'll be paying RM199 full, therefore the RM20 is worth around RM1 of rebate and another 2% of TP).
Unless you are relying on the possibility of weekend rebate for the autopay.
Question is what if you forget to pay within the 7 days of the month prior to the autopay deadline. Are you willing to take the risk?
To get this trick to work, the timing is important.
You'll need to pay before the bill is generated.
I have tried that with auto-debit TNB with ocbc and then pay using Amex during weekend after the bill generated.
But ocbc still pay the full bill amount again. So double pay!
Hence, you will need to pay first (RM178 per example above) before Unifi gen the bill to let the bill as RM19 (RM21 with RM2 discount, per example above).
Then Master card will auto debit RM19 per bill amount.
I was almost wanted to do it for TNB and Unifi, but as pointed out above you will gain < RM1 for Unifi. And forgot how much TNB discount on auto-debit. Maybe will skip it. As I used to over pay to max out unused CB. As overpay will not get auto-debit discount.
