QUOTE(Mollai @ Jun 29 2013, 09:05 PM) I have a question. I'm actually contemplating whether to use my 2 cards when I'm travelling, or to bring more cash. As I know that there may be some fees imposed when you put through transactions with other currencies besides the exchange rate. Can anyone enlighten me with more information about how it works? No extra charges - just the exchange rate is applied.I don't wanna go travel thinking I got the item cheaper than m'sia and in the end check my bill to realize it is actually about the same price after the conversion from the bank and also the transaction fee or sth. Of course it's not at the spot rate (ie. the rate you'd see on XE.com) but a few % out, here's a few of my last foreign currency transactions - I'm lazy to check rates on the day but you can work it out ... I think there's a thread dedicated to this somewhere too. Just wondering if this happened to anyone before - tried to pay for something today on my M2 Amex card (RM110) twice but was declined.
Called Maybank and the last payment wasn't updated as it was done last night / this morning and that otherwise I was over the limit before the payment, but said he couldn't give me any more details when I asked about how I was over the limit. Balance yesterday was approx 16K (total between Amex + Master) / Statement balance 12K which was paid in full. If my CL is 20K, would this be 10K per card, or split depending on spend? |

QUOTE(zenquix @ Oct 4 2013, 05:26 PM) combined limit = all MBB cards add together <= RM20K No Ezypay set up at all (don't even know what that is Balance yesterday was approx 16K . Do you have any Ezypay on any of the cards? It takes up your credit limit but not visible in your M2U "Balance" QUOTE(hkboey @ Oct 4 2013, 05:28 PM) CL are shared among all cards, say if you have 2 cards and you used up your 20k, means there's 0 left for another card. Its not split equally. This is what I thought , the customer service rep on the phone couldn't give any info so maybe they just made a mistake and tried to cover it by saying I spent past my CL |
