Guys, is there any rules saying that our card has to be few months before expiry date, says 6 months  for us to do online transaction? my card is expiring on sept 2013 and now i got rejected when i tried to do online transaction from airasia, agoda and even maxis pay via phone.
*
Bank online security purpose. Most of the time are locked for purchase from new sellers. Call up the bank CS to inform you want to purchase from XXXX ... to "open" for online transaction for how many days.

Anyone know the possibility being rejected in applying this card? I just feel speechless when I knew my application was not successful yesterday.

I have submit all the documents they are required and meet their requirements as well. I really have no idea for it. Is it because of I seldom make transaction on my MB saving account? Or I do not have any loan or FD inside my maybank account?  hmm.gif
*
Unlikely the reasons you mention. More likely:
1) You have no previous credit history (credit card, loan, hire purchase)
2) You have credit history, and the bank thinks you are over-credit.
3) You have credit history, but payment not good. Delay, non-payment, etc.

200TP = RM1 at MBB KLCC on-the-spot
I don't know what to buy with better conversion like Parkson, Metro, Harvey Norman, etc. At least I can slowly use it for lunch/dinner/friends or when I'm broke rolleyes.gif

The vouchers I want still there. Better go to the Maybankard center I guess. Got such thing as run out of vouchers one ah? Is it a good idea to call ahead to check?
*
Generally, they will have stock for tens of thousands, but it can run out at MBB spots.
Also, seems like some vouchers are not available at certain MBB spots, but I'm not sure which ones.
Normally I just redeem Aeon, KFC or McD only.

QUOTE(idoblu @ Jul 26 2013, 03:46 PM)
Guys hope can get some answer here regarding maybank2U -

1. How to change my password? I see only Reset Password. Is this what I should do, reset? I can enter with no problems, just want to change since all those MBB staff see me typing in.

2. Is it possible to register a certain bill paying option like TNB, Telekom, etc so I don't have to type in all those account numbers every time I want to pay something via online. I looked and tried out all the options but can't find this. I see only pay once.

TIA
*
Login Maybank 2u -> default Home

1. scroll to bottom -> Personal Details -> Change password
Try to set your h/p here also, if possible. I'm not sure if need to request the code via physical presense at ATM.

2. Home -> Accounts & Bankings -> Bill Payment - > scroll down -> "Add favourite payee"
This will need the TAC validation to add each payee, but save the trouble for future.

Hello Sifus,

Is that possible to add insurances into Maybank2u, then after that make payment from Maybank Amex card via Maybank2u?
*
Yes, you can add insurance into favourite payee. In fact, you can add any of the payee in the list as favourites, so that you don't need to type manually for multiple different bills. However, when you select the insurance to pay, the next step dropdown combo box will filter out the list, normally allow visa/master only. Sometimes only pay from your bank account (savings/current).

Great to hear that, I would redeem all the TP to jusco voucher since my mommy love to shopping her cosmetic  biggrin.gif
*
Yes, Aeon vouchers are nice for groceries or sometimes big items from departmental store (for me). Sometimes Tesco is cheaper. But cosmetics, Parkson/Metro may give better TP conversion rate. Just wondering if Guardian voucher still around.

i always want to know this..

during promotion, like spend how much get rm10 voucher, if we use voucher to pay, do we still eligible for the rm10 voucher?
*
Yes.

During Jusco Aeon member sale, I pay all using Aeon vouchers.
Then bring my receipt to the Aeon counter (during sales only), and the redemption is based on full receipt amount.
i.e RM10 voucher for RM100 spending in departmental store.
RM5 voucher for RM100 spending in supermarket.

Redeem now better than redeem later. Keep the points for what ?
*
For Jusco RM100, the previous inflation was from 16,700 TP for RM100
Lucky I redeem all before it goes up to 21,000TP
Rumour of upcoming inflation, see how much it goes up.

Also, the RM100 spent 5-10 years ago, is worth a lot more than RM100 spend today.

Therefore, it is better to use the points than to keep for 10 years.

Default Aeon voucher does not have expiry. However, some promotional Aeon vouchers, will have a date stamp on it.

On the topic of on-the-spot redemption. Can i redeem vouchers from Sen Heng with the treatspoints I have accumulated in my AMEX card? I know Sen Heng doesnt accept AMEX so im a bit confused here. tongue.gif
*
Amex with TP = yes.
Amex with MR = no.

QUOTE(herc @ Jul 30 2013, 02:12 PM)
if they really gonna revise to RM1 = 250TP based, really hope they can give cash covert option, easier and don't think to think how to spend those vouchers.
*
Aeon vouchers not that difficult to spend. Everyone needs to eat.
Spend at supermarket for groceries, toiletries, etc.
Once a while, wait for sales, can buy few clothes also at departmental store.

QUOTE(maru @ Jul 30 2013, 02:59 PM)
i changed mine 20k for rm100 smile.gif

i always know change from website is higher haha....but 1k only la

do note u can even change mcd voucher rm10 = 2k
*
Aeon vouchers are 21k TP if over catalogue/online.
If at MBB spots (KLCC, Gardens, 1U), it is 20k TP per RM100

McD rm10 = 2k TP
KFC rm30 = 6k TP (minimum per redemption batch). You cannot redeem rm20 KFC for 4k TP

QUOTE(Devil4life @ Jul 30 2013, 03:15 PM)
AEON voucher can be used during AEON member's day too right? It's just like normal cash?
*
yes, like normal cash even during member day. e.g. You buy RM100 groceries at member day, pay all RM100 using voucher.
You still can go redeem RM5 (supermarket green receipt) for that day member sale, as they look at the total spending, no matter cash, voucher, CC.

Bro,

Can you describe a bit more? Amex with TP meaning I can use the TP points on my Amex in Sen Heng? Whereas Amex with MR???
*
Amex with TP = MBB 2 CC Amex gold/platinum (with MBB logo in front)
Amex with MR = MBB Amex Credit Card gold, MBB Amex Charge card (centurion logo, no MBB logo)

LOL ... after all the rumours going around, and the first few batches of kiasu Lemmings who have redeemed their points , look who's laughing now.
laugh.gif
Anyway, the time is already past ripe (by 1-2 years) to adjust the TP, since the last adjustment was like 5-7 years ago ?
That's the time when RM100 jusco is still 16,700 TP.
I recall much earlier than that, it was about 12k-14k TP for RM100.

QUOTE(avengers88 @ Aug 1 2013, 03:37 PM)
I submitted the supplementary sheet bout 2 weeks back. The CS don't even bother to call and tell me, I have to call them then they say need the supplementary sheet. I went and did it in the bank and the bank officer din even tell me what was needed. I gave them my 3 months salary only and filled in some form to get basic information such as my name, cc number and all. That's all. I am going to call them soon and ask what's the status again. Probably got rejected or stg.
*
Do you submit through the bank multi-purpose counter ?
Or dedicated CC counters like 1U, KLCC, The Gardens ?

multi-purpose CS won't care much, they will group the docs and delivery boy will forward to card processing centre. Sometimes can be several days, or 1-2 weeks. If they forgot and leave the docs in tray. Even if it reach card processing centre, no one know what to do with your additional docs, if there is no proper reference number to link to your earlier application.

Best is just call in CC CS, they tell you what's missing, then you ask them for the direct fax number to fax in. Once finish fax, call them to confirm they receive it.
Follow up within 2-3 days to know approve/reject.

QUOTE(nothingz @ Aug 1 2013, 03:50 PM)
your point is? you can spend today to get points to redeem at the rate which is 5-7 years before?
*
My point is, don't keep collecting the points. Redeem it whenever possible.

1) TP points inflation. Enough said.

2) a RM100 voucher today, used to buy things, is worth more than RM100 voucher 3-5 years down the road. Due to product/services inflation also.
The RM100 voucher I spend 5-7 years ago, I can purchase more items/services than today.

There is no such thing as nothing to redeem. Aeon voucher is the best for basic necessities, since it has supermarket and the price is just a bit premium to Tesco/Giant, if compared to Cold Storage, Mercanto, etc.
Even I don't have nothing to buy at Parkson/Metro, which gives even better redemption, but I still can use it to buy things at Aeon supermarket.

ok, i got you. i also redeemed parkson vouchers regularly to fully utilise my points. with the current inflation, it takes a longer time to accumulate the points

Well, good things never last. But it is still one of the best CC rebate/redemption for now.
Other CC are close already after the TP inflation.

Let's see if there are other banks which can come up with even better ones, then we Lemmings can jump ship rolleyes.gif
