I applied for Maybank 2 card then i received a call from maybank saying that i need to put a FD in order for them to approve the cards and i did it. So that mean my maybank 2 card is tied with my FD? So that means i canot cancel my FD until i decided not to use the cc anymore?

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jul 2 2013, 11:05 AM) From next month onwards, upon knowning your statement balance, just use "own account transfer scheduled payment". No need to wait till due date and no more omg of last minute glitch. May I know how to apply for the service? Is it through M2U? Mind guiding the process? QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jul 2 2013, 11:27 AM) To play safe, set it one day before payment due date, at least you are inform by email just incase schedule payment failed. If i set it one day before due date, what would happen if i swap my cc ON the due date of payment? Is that mean that i have to make another payment on the due date itself ? CC Newbie here

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jul 29 2013, 01:22 PM) The best is using "M2U Own Account Schedule Fund Transfer". No more over due penalty. But if you insist to pay on the due date itself and If you are an android phone user, Then I highly recommend ZDclock for this simple job. It will alert you every month 1 to 5 days before or on the due date. When i click on " own account transfer", it saying that "You cannot make any funds transfer to your own account because you have only one account linked to your record." Any idea how to solve this problem?

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Jul 29 2013, 01:33 PM) Own account transfer is just for transferring between 1 saving account to another saving/current account.. DO you have more than 1 account? If you want to pay your credit card in advances, then it is different function already.. can go to account & banking > bill payment > make a card payment to pay ur cc in advance QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jul 29 2013, 01:41 PM) Maybe I named it wrongly. You go to your CC account > click Pay Now > then you can schedule when you want the payment to be effected. What about the amount of payment because we will never know how much we will spend until the due date of payment. For example, my due date is 15th of august and i schedule auto payment today to pay on 14th of August, so how much should i pay?

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jul 29 2013, 06:19 PM) Then you wait until you know your statement balance la. No Statement balance how to pay ?? You can see your statement balance 20 days before payment due date. You should be able to see your Statement balance by now. Thanks Sifu. Now I have a clearer picture. That's mean I have to pay the statement balance before the due date without any interest charges right? 2 months old cc newbie here so i dont really understand it yet. I always pay the total outstanding amount before the due date to avoid interest charges

QUOTE(zenquix @ Aug 23 2013, 12:04 PM) They swipe when u check in, but only process when you check out, so transaction date will be Monday. However, you can go down on saturday/sunday and ask to settle the bill first ala prepay to get the transaction date to the weekend. OOT but it is very expensive to walk in without a booking (RACK rates). I would suggest if you intend only to pay at check out, at least get one of those flexible bookings where you do not need to pay upfront. Or get prepaid booking on Saturday morning if you have not gone overseas by then. edit: i have been in a hotel before where the transaction date reflects the day AFTER check out (must be some back office bulk billing thing) so go on saturday evening if your really want the 5%. Noted !! Thanks Zenquix..
