From what I can see on  hmm.gif previous posts, Visa and Mastercard offers better rate than AMEX. Which is better? notworthy.gif  icon_question.gif

AMEX is only good if you can get the weekend rebate 5% or else I would opt for Master/Visa with it's lower conversion rate

but different people different style as some would prefer the points.

using Amex CC to pay TM streamyx bill on weekend, does the transaction directly goes through on that day? Or will need a few days for TM to receive it?

Example like previously got forummer mentioned using Amex to pay Maxis bill, but the money cleared to Maxis after few days, causing the dateline to due.

need about 2/3 workings day for it to be transacted from my experience.

hey guys, ask some questions here about maybank2card...
Any of you face this?

outstanding balance in mastercard, pay minimum but no interest charge for months.

So they charge per annum instead of per month?
*
check you paper or e-statement, they should break it down nicely with all the interest compounded.

don't think is view-able through M2U only.

anyway paying min amount is not the way to go, hope you can settle it ASAP.

actually just some thoughts... if your statement date is 31st (or 30th) then your payment due date is 20th. This means the RM50 cashback will not be in the statement. It will then not be factored in the statement balance which you must pay, till the month after.

Secondly, you will only known the amount owed some days later (except if you track via M2U) and for some, they may not have budgeted for it from the previous months salary, and the current month's salary has not been paid as of the 20th.
*
Actually the cash rebate that obtain on the 1st (normally shown on the 2nd) can be used to offset the payment already even if it's not in the statement.

eg.
Statement amount : RM1000
Cash rebate : RM50
Amount to be pay : RM950

it is still a long way for the 3 years to lapse, just wait and see. the points accumulated before august 2013 is still evergreen
*
er... those points before august 2013 will expire in July 31 2016. No more evergreen
