QUOTE(David83 @ May 21 2013, 09:25 AM) Just to share something.I tried to book an accommodation at Agoda and seems like there's 5% discount promo using MBB Visa. Not sure why it's back. As I tried just now with both links, when clicked to the secure payment, it was directed to HKG server. When I tried yesterday at my office, it was directed to NYC and AMS servers. Not sure if this has any connection in determining the promo. Perhaps others could help to validate. |

QUOTE(alexwsk @ May 22 2013, 01:51 PM) Regarding Maybank Agoda discount, if anyone successfully done the booking with discount, please post back here with the url used for booking. Thanks. I tried this morning and it seems back to normal. I didn't prompt for payment but after CC number entered, the discount is reflected. I use this link: http://www.agoda.com.my/promotion/maybankard.html |

If select MYR, the final value is after conversion.
If select USD, the amount will be converted later according to posting date forex rate. Some forumer here pointed out that even after conversion from USD to MYR, the final value is still lower than selecting MYR. I didn't do a thorough comparison on this matter. |

QUOTE(lightwerker @ May 28 2013, 08:55 PM) Yes on everything. Transaction date must fall in the date of weekends. The exception to Government Bodies, Education Institutions and Insurance Providers is 2x points not 5x points. This post has been edited by David83: May 28 2013, 09:00 PM |

QUOTE(raptar_eric @ Jun 4 2013, 02:58 PM) Hi guys, wanna ask bout statement balance. If i have 1k outstanding, I clear 500 first, how to I keep track of the remaining statement balance as it will not be updated there? Statement balance will not be updated till next bill cycle.Outstanding for month of May is 1k. If i paid 500, then i swipe now, the statement balance will still be 1000. So lets say if i want to avoid any interest, I have to clear up all 1000. Can i clear the remaining 500 anytime before the due date? If i swipe 300 this month, i only need to clear 500 only for this month right, shouldnt be 800.. Kindly enlighten me thankiuuu Only outstanding balance will be updated. |

QUOTE(raptar_eric @ Jun 4 2013, 04:45 PM) Thx for clarifying bro. So i can actually pay few shots right rather than 1 time? My only worry is that they only 1 time clear all or pay min amount thats why they dont update the statement balance. If can pay few rounds then got more cash flow No concern on this strategy as I also do that.I have multiple payments though M2U before next statement is generated. Most of the them, my statement balance is zero. |

QUOTE(tbheng @ Jun 4 2013, 07:11 PM) Hmmm, interesting strategy to have zero statement balance. My strategy is not clear all short term high interest debt as soon as possible. For me I'll fully enjoy the 20-day (up to 50-day, for those swipes just after statement date) free credit period and pay only near due date. Easier for me to manage. |

There's another subsequent entry right after SERVICE TAX - PRINCIPAL RM 50.00 in your AMEX which reverse this transaction.
I believe the purpose is for ledger book keeping. |
