What happen if there's INSUFFICIENT fund in  the account ? any "surcharge" ?
*
Never kena before but i think No charge. it will just fail the transfer. Similar to if you try to make a own account transfer and you keyed in amount 5k from an account of 1k balance. It won't get thru.
Like I said, set 1 day before the due day. If failed due to insufficient fund, still can pay in time.
Fund can be kept in M2U Savers for 2.x% interest.

i've made some transactions on sat (29-june) and sun (30-june), both last days of the month of june 2013 ... at first i couldn't see ALL the transactions viewing from maybank2u portal under "transaction history" even on 1-july ...

only today (2-july), i can see all of them and fortunately all of their "posting date" did not spill into july, otherwise it would be included into july weekend rebate calculation, if i read the page#1 correctly ...

so, i'm just wondering if it would be of any benefits to forumners to identify which merchants actually did their posting date in such manner (such as transaction date on 29th/30th but posting date on 1st/2nd or even later than that) ...

not sure if those merchants deliberately did their posting 2 days or more for certain reasons but it would surely affect AMEX spenders, especially if the amount is huge ... just my opinion ... ignore this if it would not make any difference ...

cheers ...

It happened to me once long time ago, no data is collected here yet, but now thanks to the effort of members here and ronnie, the table at 1st page is a good guide. I try to avoid charging big amount to amex during this special weekends, but if no choice, then it is still okay too. On the merchant side, i think it is random (see they are free or not). Once, my transaction at a shell station was posted 1 week later.

it depends on the merchants, some of them submit their claims daily, some not. as i know Parkson is very fast, i think is daily. foreign transactions tend to be slower

hmm, since it's random and not static info, i suppose it won't do any good to identify them ... thought there's a certain pattern on such merchants ...

From next month onwards, upon knowning your statement balance, just use "own account transfer scheduled payment". No need to wait till due date and no more omg of last minute glitch.

May I know how to apply for the service? Is it through M2U? Mind guiding the process?

To play safe, set it one day before payment due date, at least you are inform by email just incase schedule payment failed.

If i set it one day before due date, what would happen if i swap my cc ON the due date of payment? Is that mean that i have to make another payment on the due date itself ? CC Newbie here rclxub.gif

17. Dell got no installment plan with AMEX and you won't get cash back if you purchase online on weekends.

- 7% for Platinum and Premium Cards
- 5% for Gold and Classic Cards
- Confirmed by sailou: NO additional 5% usual cash back for M2 Amex during weekend, the transaction will be process on coming Monday

Take note, with tcs87's valuable contribution above, we can safely say that agoda only process our transactions on a working day.

You can't transact online in RM using your Amex card on any day at least at this moment, therefore you can't get any cash back on your groupon transaction. for online transaction cash rebate, go apply UOB VOX card (5% cash rebate for online transaction, limited exception)

you have to set it by yourself at M2U, just set the effective date to payment due date and it will make the payment on that day

well, from my sat & sun transactions, found that Adonis's posting date is 1 day later - in this case, swipe on sat with posting date on sunday ...

so, supposing if i swipe on sunday instead, perhaps the mentioned merchant will process it the next day, which is monday (1-july), hence may affect the cashback into the following month, july ... anyway, i'm not sure but just guessing based on my transaction record ...

i've mailed to Amex customer service & called Maybank - they assured me as long as transactions are made on weekend (sat or sun), you're entitled to 5% cashback, regardless of the posting date ...

so, i'm curious with the case study of Dell & Agoda above, since the transaction is done on weekend, by right should get 5% cashback regardless ... but then such online transaction may be different rclxub.gif

You gave Agoda/Dell your AMEX CC details DOES NOT MEAN the transaction is done on weekend.
Someone at Agoda/Dell need to "process those details"... and they only work Mondays to Fridays icon_idea.gif rclxm9.gif

All PayPal transactions will be posted 1-2 days later.
99% of all transactions via AMEX will be posted on the same day.
So play smart as when to swipe especially if the weekend = last day of the month

my Petron transaction always posted on the next day
hence pumping petrol at Petron last Sunday (30/06) means I will get the rebate calculated in July

cashback you will get on weekend spend, for sure you will get.. but it will fall in which month, this you need to take care.. you use card on Sunday 30/6, but Maybank still not acknowledged the payment until Merchant processed your payment.. Your time using the card is called TRANSACTION DATE while the time merchant processed your payment is called POSTING DATE.. if you have experience paying Hotel using credit card, you will familiar with this system.. the first time you arrive in Hotel to check in, Hotel will swipe you card for deposit only.. this is TRANSACTION DATE, but Hotel will never processed it.. until you check out, then Hotel will once again swipe your card for full payment and this is also TRANSACTION DATE.. but Hotel will processed your full payment only, during check out which fall under POSTING DATE then only Maybank system will acknowledged it and appear in your statement.. your first swipe during check in for deposit will not be processed by Hotel and not appear in your statement..

You use card on 30/6 but maybe merchant will processed it on 1/7.. Maybank system will collect all your weekend use of the card on 30/6, only if the merchant processed it.. when merchant processed it on 1/7, Maybank system will still capture it as cash rebate, but put it under July spend, since they already processed the June cashback and reimbursed to user.. anyway, this is my assumption based on forumer experience here..

while Dell & Agoda, they are online merchant.. probably their system only collect all your payment details during weekend, and then some human being will double check and approve the transaction AKA swipe your card on weekdays.. if you can see the TRANSACTION DATE fall on weekdays, then you can complaint to Maybank to get your cashback..
