I can't understand these card companies. Putting the security code on the card is like putting your PIN number on your ATM card doh.gif
*
what is your suggestions to them then? blink.gif

your point is? you can spend today to get points to redeem at the rate which is 5-7 years before?
you can hide the back 3 digits. certain websites do not require the 3 digits behind to complete the transaction. such as apple store mys
*
you actually need to key in the 3 digits, i make orders regularly so i can assure you on that

Simple. Just send the security code separately like your pin
Don't print it on the card
*
if its really that simple, i suggest you to email Mastercard/Visa regarding this.
they have been in the card business longer than you've lived, i'm sure they've weight their options and given the best solution whistling.gif

If you are still confuse and wanna play safe, there is no harm to pay the outstanding balance first. After your familiarize with the statement format, then just pay the statement balance.

Just kena fraud case again late last month. This is my 2nd time already within a year, and if I include the supplementary card under me (one fraud case), it's 3 cases altogether!

Same modus operandi. Happens early in the morning (3am-7am), all online shopping. First SMS will be for a small amount, usually a few cents. After a few minutes, then it starts to roll, by the thousands. The last fraud, amount was USD5k. Bugger purchased designer clothes online @ TOTOKAELO.

Thank God, on all 3 cases, the amount didn't go through and it was not reflected on my account. Thus, there was no need to do any refute or filling up any forms, just a call to the call centre to cancel current card and ask for a new replacement. The hassle of getting a new card is killing me though.

Now its a habit for me already, first thing when I wake up in the morning, check my HP for any SMS from MBB.

It's a tragedy that AMEX doesn't have the MSOS code, just like their VISA or Master. Really need to be careful when making any payment with your AMEX cards, especially at restaurants, when they bring to you your bill to the table and you give it to them. Just need to take photo of the front of your card and you're in big risk. 4 digit code also at the front, no need take photo of the back of the card.
*
AMEX actually has MSOS code "SafeKey" problem is those websites that people used your card to make purchase doesnt support this feature

Don't think so though...
I checked their FAQ and also confirmed it with a friend, who works in Maybank.

http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...ChId=FCRD-Cards
*
i'm not saying Maybank doesn't support it but most if not all of the merchant whom people make purchases from doesn't incorporate SafeKey to their website.
in order for it to work, the website whom you're making purchase from must also have SafeKey feature.
its the same thing as Verified by Visa, it only works if the merchant have such feature

for swiping at petrol pump machine vs. caisher at kios, RM200-RM300 will be precharged & there is a 2-3days delay before the actual amount pumped is billed and the balance refunded back into the cc account.

So if i swipe on weekends, will this charge only be billed on monday/tuesday? Anyone has exp to share? Tq
*
it will still be billed on the day the preauthorisation is made.

Hi sifus. I had bought something online and paid in USD last Saturday. And the transaction is not reflected in my online transaction history yet. I wonder when will it reflect since the transaction on yesterday night already reflected in my maybank2u acc.
*
it depends on when the merchant post the transaction.
it happened to me once when purchasing tickets from Malaysia Airlines, it took about 3 months for the transaction to be posted

Anyone knows a better way?

why i only received sms saying "thank you for using ur maybank amex at _________" for my first few transactions?

now no more.
i know for some ppl it might be anoyying.
buy i prefer that way cos easier to track and know ur transactions
*
if you haven't change your threshold amount, it would be defaulted to RM1000
for that you will receive SMS alert for any transactions done that is more than RM1000.
if those first few transactions is more than RM1000, that explains why.
if you want to receive SMS alert for all transactions, set your threshold amount to RM1.
it can be done by calling the CS, number is written at the back of your card
