If let say i redeem rm50 on my account, but i did not use VISA/MC anymore. So there will be outstanding amount of -50. this amount will maintain on the account until i used the card or next GST charges deduct?
*
You can transfer the -RM 50 to your AmEx.
I just did it for this year because I was running out of time to redeem, else will be charged with late payment.
So I paid first and redeemed my TP, asked CS to transfer the money to my AmEx.

So is it the only way to redeem TP to offset the gst? I saw it charged rm50 x2 on both visa and amex but got deduct in amex..charged rm50 on visa only...

Anyway better?
*
Yes, the only way is to redeem via TP or you pay for the GST.
Only one card will be charged and AmEx is free for life.

YES i will be join tis card member soon!!!
oledi see the 2 card appear in my maybank2u account.

but still waiting for the arrival of the card.

1 question here, the GST rm50 for tis year is waived or hav to pay?
*
AmEx's GST is waived for life but you have to pay for your VISA/MasterCard's (depending which card you got) GST.
You can use 12,500 TP to redeem it or pay RM 50.00.
So, in short, yes need to pay and not waived even though as new user.

Annual fees for this M2Card is waived for life though.

actually just some thoughts... if your statement date is 31st (or 30th) then your payment due date is 20th. This means the RM50 cashback will not be in the statement. It will then not be factored in the statement balance which you must pay, till the month after.

Secondly, you will only known the amount owed some days later (except if you track via M2U) and for some, they may not have budgeted for it from the previous months salary, and the current month's salary has not been paid as of the 20th.
*
My statement date is 24th and my salary is out between 18th-20th (most of the time 20th but if 20th falls on weekends will be earlier).
Is the statement date OK? I mean in term of all those rebate crediting?
Payment wise, I'm OK anytime. smile.gif

My OCBC's statement date is 12th by the way.

Apparently the situation has changed, it doesn't provide option to choose which currency...
*
You mean you cannot choose currency when you were checking hotel rates or when you were about to make payment?

Normal Agoda website
Checking hotel rates, can change to MYR.
user posted image

Payment page still shows MYR.
user posted image
I didn't proceed because have no intention to book. laugh.gif

Maybank Agoda website
Change the currency in its main page.
user posted image

After that, it shows the same as normal Agoda page. Quoted in MYR as well.

Edit: I re-read your post again, it seems you have chosen MYR but was charged in USD. So, you can ignore my post. laugh.gif

Yeah, Agoda is not really that cheap these days. There are other booking sites which offer cheaper rate and can use PayPal during weekends. smile.gif

Recently only my sister booked our hotel directly from the hotel, somehow is cheaper than Agoda.

Just found out that Maybank has implemented Treats Point "Expiry" effective on 1st August 2013 mad.gif grumble.gif In spite with its recent TP inflation, MBB2 is no longer that 'Best' anymore

Er, this news was already made known before August and many of us have exchanged vouchers. sweat.gif
Not only on the expiration date, there are vouchers which require higher TP for exchange.

Okay. Found my NEVER USED MBB 2Kard Amex Plat being charged USD25 on SKINNYCORP , LLC moments ago. Received sms notification and called MBB to report.
This card is totally never used , applied for it 2 years ago and kept in drawer till to date.
*
Why AmEx? If it's MasterCard or Visa, I could have understood. hmm.gif
Anyway, that's a popular site for fraud case. Almost all fraud cases reported before for AmEx came from that website.

Its my mom supp card and she use only the master. Many place she frequent never accept amex. Just wonder how this card detail leaked.
*
Ya. People applied this card for AmEx and keep the MasterCard or VISA away.
AmEx gives good benefits but not MC/VISA...

can i just apply maybankard 2 cards then only apply 1 American Express as supplementary card?

I got the info from here
http://askchong.com/2011/11/maybankard-2-c...-supp-card.html
the service tax is RM25 x 2 card (Amex and Master or Visa) because the "One Service Tax" is only applicable for Principal Card Holder (Confirmed by Maybank customer service department as well as charges incurred by me)

can anyone here confirm this?
*
Cannot. It must come in a pair. Both AmEx and MC/VISA. So you will need to pay for both cards' GST (supp).
Yes, for principal only one card will be charged, AmEx is waived for life.

look at  here
btw, guys

Maybankard 2 cards offers 5% of Cash Rebates while you swap Maybankard 2 Amex during weekend, and getting 5X rewards point for any purchase.

does it mean if I spend on weekend, i will get 5% cash rebate as well as 5 X rewards points of any purchase?
*
5xTreat Points is 24/7 but 5% rebate is only during weekends.

Not really good in financial planning ya?
I think that could contribute to one of the reasons why your applications for OCBC and Maybank were rejected.

how about the online payment  ? likely or not to make it weekend? flex.gif
*
It depends on the merchants' processing time. Most of them transact on weekends but some don't, for e.g Dell.
I always use PayPal on weekends and got the 5% rebate, usually do that on Saturday's night because it follows US time zone.

Want to ask something, platinum credit card is consider the "highest" in their category right?

For this Maybankard2Card, yes.
Else, it still has other higher status cards like for e.g. VISA Infinite.

hi... newbie here..

so what with this KARMALOOP?? so far i got such transaction on my 2cards..

should i be worry bout this??
*
Of course. doh.gif
If you didn't perform any transaction in that website and got charged for it, you have to report to Maybank for fraud cases.
They need to block your card and send you a new replacement. Moreover, you will still need to file a dispute case.
Karmaloop is infamous for fraud cases.

This applies to all transactions and cards, if you don't perform any transaction and charged for that, contact the bank immediately.

I think Petronas accepts AmEx but if they accept for TnG, that's a separate discussion.
