Hi guys, is it possible to set the card to request a PIN when using it at petrol kiosks?

thanks!

Edit: Also, i have autopay on my unifi, can i dictate which day it will pay(as in on the weekends for the cashback + TP) at the moment, its just as and when payment.
*
why autopay unifi? dont u think it's better to cancel the autopay and pay manually via mb2u during weekend to be sure of the weekend rebate?

to earn benfit better for unifi bill, apply for autopay (you will be rm2 rebate monthly for monthly autopayment more than rm20)
therefore, if let says u r using VIP10 RM199 per month and lets say ur unifi statement day falls on 7th of the month
- apply for autopayment unde ur MBB2C master/visa
- pay manually RM178 via MBB2C AMEX via M2U during weekend, before 7th of the month

so that u can get rm2 off from the autopayment, and can also get 5X TP and 5% CB for RM178
*
you can apply autopay with AMEX too.
to gain the 5x TP and possibly weekend rebate.

but again, not sure it's worth the extra effort just to save around RM1 (technically, if I manually pay with AMEX on weekend, I'll be paying RM199 full, therefore the RM20 is worth around RM1 of rebate and another 2% of TP).

Unless you are relying on the possibility of weekend rebate for the autopay.

Question is what if you forget to pay within the 7 days of the month prior to the autopay deadline. Are you willing to take the risk?

No, it will never work !! The billing system wouldn't reward you the autopay rm2 rebate in the following month bill if you make a manual partial payment for current month bill.  Please try it and see for yourself.
*
I kinda doubted it at first bcoz one time I manually paid FULL amount and I did not get the rm2 rebate. however, I'm not sure about partial payment.

Your statement makes you unsuitable for HLB WISE... For me, it's too easy.....
*
it's not about easy or not, sometimes it's about your spending style. I personally don't like cards that force me to spend, like in this case WISE requiring 10 transactions a month, otherwise zero rebate...

1. Im using maybank2card platinum
2. according to the bank statement, transaction and posting date on saturday throught online purchase. That day i made purchase more than 2k,
other than that i do made puchase which not on weekend which i pay my bills
*
only the AMEX card will entitle you for the weekend rebate.
the visa/MasterCard will only earn you points even if you use it on the weekends.

QUOTE(venicelim @ Aug 14 2013, 01:10 PM)
activating the transaction sms & set trigger amount to min will help to identify immediately when CC is misused by others right?
but with this we only able to call Maybank to block it, but still need to pay the statement balance for that month, then wait for investigation to refund.
(which might take up few months)

any how we can try our best to avoid this?

btw, does other CC also has this issue or just maybank AMEX card very easily kena fraud case?

Pls advise.. because I just applied Maybank2card...
thinking how to avoid this scenario..
*
I dont think you need to pay the amount as long as it is reported.

This means our treats points deflate 25%
Using Amex in the weekend get maximum 5% + 2%, no longer 2.5%... Hmmm...

it would be too much i think to pay water bill with AMEX considering normal usage for every household is averaging RM10 or less.

unless you are paying for some eateries, which is totally different story...
