I've just received a SMS from Maybank which I'm entitled to Credit Limit Incvrease without documents rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif
Just need to response the SMS, similar to Citibank's method.

I've been wanting to increase my CL but lazy to submit documents smile.gif
Most probably MBB system saw that I've used up to 90% of CL in the last 2 months.

The increase u got, is it close to your other cc with highest credit limit?
I wonder if the Bank will match that nowadays...

Just received the SMS yesterday and responded within 15 mins.
Still didn't see any increase..... My guess maybe another 10% increase

is there any reason why my total spending is exactly RM1000.00 (note it's exactly 1k, not rounded up) and yet my rebate for last month was RM49.98
*
Maybank uses the ROUNDDOWN to 2 decimal points for calculation of each transactions on weekends.
If you count all of them via "ROUNDDOWN to 2 decimal" in Excel, you would get RM49.98

janson_kaniaz monthly max cap is RM50.00.

mbb calculate the 5% rebates per eligible transactions. if total rebate sum is >50, it will only take those summed transactions <=50.
*
That's not true... it will add transactions in chronological order.
Maybank uses ROUNDDOWN mechanism

eg. RM58.30 x 5% = RM2.915
Maybank will use RM2.91 only.

Sorry guys, there is saying said picture itself speak a thousand word.

From the picture itself, statement balance still rm0.00 but the due date is already over.
The even confusing thing is that i never pay anything so far but it is showing last payment date is 1st August and apparently that amount is the rebate that I get from first month.

Super confusing  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Hope you all can enlighten me here
*
Statement Balance : RM0.00 --- this is FIRST statement @ 3-July-2013
Payment Amount : RM48.90
This is the Weekend Cash-back Rebate for July 2013 (spends between 3-July to 31-July)

On 3-Aug-2013 will be the date to generate the 2nd Statement smile.gif

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Aug 5 2013, 11:13 PM)
thanks for the confirmation

So now 26250 TP = RM100 ie spend RM5250
5X TP =  1.9% rebate only.

If pay govt bills/insurance/education 2X TP = 0.76% rebate.
The usual regular reward points from all other cards usually is 0.5%, are they getting lower now as well?
So the best is now Wise Card 10%, then OCBC 5% and then Watami 3%.
Any others that i missed out?
*
Still wrong : Wise 10% / AMEX 7% / OCBC 5% / Watami 3%

QUOTE(lucas114 @ Aug 13 2013, 08:53 AM)
In this morning, my Amex card has been compromised with USD1.00 charged onto it. It happened at 3.42am and the merchant is PAYPAL.

Personally, I did sign up an account with PayPal but I leave no credit card details with it. I wonder how it could happen.

Already called up CS to report on this. A new replacement card will be issued.

Would like to ask here, with the issuance of a new replacement card, my old card will be terminated and replaced automatically with the new one, right? The reason for asking is because the CS only told me my card is blocked now and a new replacement card will be delivered to me. Just wish to get some clarification from someone with experience here.

How and when should I fill up the dispute form for the USD1.00 charged? I made a second call to CS and was informed to call in to check if the transaction goes through and fill up the dispute form after 7 days.

Need some advice here. Thanks!
*
That USD1.00 could be pre-authorization amount for PayPal to check if your credit card is valid/active only.

activating the transaction sms & set trigger amount to min will help to identify immediately when CC is misused by others right?
but with this we only able to call Maybank to block it, but still need to pay the statement balance for that month, then wait for investigation to refund.
(which might take up few months)

any how we can try our best to avoid this?

btw, does other CC also has this issue or just maybank AMEX card very easily kena fraud case?

Pls advise.. because I just applied Maybank2card...
thinking how to avoid this scenario..
*
You can't avoid it.... unless you don't apply at all. cool2.gif rolleyes.gif sweat.gif

Pay the Statement Balance before Due Date is the BEST way

So if there's statement balance & minimum payment, means I either haven't paid, or if I did, I didn't pay the amount due?
*
FYI: Statement Balance is refreshed on Statement Date (and will not turn to ZERO) even you paid the full due amount ok ?
