not sure how long to wait... they have been selling telco topups much earlier than tng but until now they still not accepting cc for telco topups.

all mbb2card amex users are waiting for this!

problem for tesco to offer tng reload is to have a separate or replace existing card terminal.

e.g. replace existing with a contact + contactless card terminal that can read both chip card (contact) and RFID tng card (contactless), this, in turn, must be integrated with tesco's POS terminals, which may incur more cost as well.

one merchant i noticed is Petronas Puchong accepts both amex/credit cards and reload tng (slot the cc into the reader, put the tng on top of it)
reason why tesco and other merchants (e.g. 7E, M2U, etc) can offer telco reload is because telco can generate pinless reload vouchers (aka softpin).

that means, they bought a bulk of reload vouchers (at discounted rate) from telco, and load the pinless vouchers into their POS database (as part of the retail SKU). this way, no hardware integration need. Just need to tweak the billing software to print out the reload serial number onto the POS receipt.

unless, TNG themself able to generate reload softpin at certain denomination (e.g. RM30, RM50, RM100, RM200, etc), then they can "sell" this to retailers/merchants. <--- one big problem, how to transfer the pin to the card??? still need a reader!

all H&M outlet doesnt accept AMEX?

Strange then, I managed to use Amex to pay in Nando's USJ Taipan few times already...
Perhaps it's really outlets specific?

Hey guys~ I just start using Maybankard Amex this year and this month I received statement for mastercard with GST charge on it. I thought only one time charge for both card lol.

So is it for first time Amex GST waive and mastercard no waive, after that both no waive or Amex will waive too on second year and so on?

best possible hope is tng hubs to accept amex. currently they accept visa/mastercard.

uniqlo mostly accept amex. i tried on KLCC. some other forumers tried at other places.

h&m, so far no one can confirm amex acceptance, yet. mostly rejected.

personal taste, i prefer uniqlo's style than h&m's

well, like kimgy86 posted before, Uniqlo KLCC doesnt accept AMEX, although i did shop there (Aug 2013) where it accepted.

David83 did say whole franchise accepts AMEX but some branches may not ready. So the KLCC store revert from accepted -> not accepted is a strange move 

anyways, good to know latest amex acceptance from retail stores. 

I went to All IT Hypermarket at Low Yat yesterday. When I took out my Amex for payment, the cashier told me that I have to pay extra 3% if I use Amex. I told her that I've purchased something from All IT Hypermarket at Low Yat a few months ago and there was no 3% extra charge. She said no, this practice is not new to All IT Hypermarket. I ended up paying using another card since I refused to pay the extra 3%.

I went back and checked my old receipts from All IT Hypermarket. I found a receipt which I brought something from All IT Hypermarket in November 2013 using Amex with no 3% extra charge. Moreover, it was the same cashier, fazarina.s

My points here are:
1.  All IT Hypermarket is scamming customers by making them pay extra 3% if they pay using Amex. The information about 3% extra charge is not displayed anywhere in the store, until the customer proceeds to payment

2. Is it even legal to have two different prices (one hidden) for a product, depending on the method of payment?

3. The cashier is obviously lying when she told me that All IT Hypermarket has been charging the extra 3% since forever since she was also the one who handled my no-extra-charge transaction just mere 4 months ago

My conclusion:
Think twice if you want to shop with your Amex at All IT Hypermarket, better yet, shop at another retailer that does not attempt to scam money out of you.
