i believe shop like directd also provide installment plan if you want to buy phone and they accept amex with charge. Not sure how much, but I think it is still cheaper than buying from sen heng or harvey norman

4% charge for Amex direct swipe.
No installment for Amex, if Visa/Mastercard RM200+ one-time charge for installment if not mistaken.

really?.. i ask one shop at subang, for installment need to add 4% over the price for 6 months installment and 5% for 12 months installment, and can use AMEX for installment.

That's what i got the info from directd, i just bought a phone last month  biggrin.gif
3% for Visa/Mastercard direct swipe, installment wlll will depends on total price, duration of installment.
RM1600 for 18months installment around RM260, better buy with cash  brows.gif

that's crazy, the other shop better lah. 5% only need to top up. so buy 1600, only need to top up 80. So total 1680. Still cheaper than other big electrical shop like sen heng or harvey norman.

beside the 1% surcharge, there's another 50 sen service charge. which means rm99.50 reloaded to your tng when you paid rm101 with amex, correct?
*
yes, the 50 sen charge is normal when u topup at pump station, unless it is a touch n go spot.

most station didn't allow topup using card because they using epay machine to topup, means they need to buy credit for their epay machine before they can sell it to customer. If they allow using cc, they need to claim the money first from the bank so a bit hassle for them.
