next time keep insisting its their terminal issue. i had a similar experience with Citibank Clear at Coffee Bean (Buy 1 Free 1). They tried 5 times and still cannot get through. I called Citibank on the spot and Citibank claimed no attempt to make transactions at all; end up the fella at coffee bean just tried the card with Maybank terminal and it works!

try the big electrical outlet like harvey norman, their price is normally high but certain time they would have promo for certain models that are attractive. No extra charge for using AMEX somemore can do 0% installment biggrin.gif

experience once the merchant claimed machine problem so might have double transaction for one purchase. Told me to go back to them if my account has double transaction. Anyway it didn't happen so i suppose it would be controlled by merchant and not bank?

which is why sometimes if the price diff is not much, get gadgets from shops like Harvey Norman. Amex no issue and even able to do 0% installment.

Compared the price of HN to my local shops, they are selling 10-20% more expensive, with AMEX's 7% also can't cover that lost.
*
Yes but they do run 'sales' from time to time and sometimes their price is attractive too. Not always which is why i said compare first, you might be surprised tongue.gif

QUOTE(yorkhan @ Feb 5 2015, 12:49 PM)
anyone who is from Miri? does petron there accept AMEX?

currently having problems at klang valley Petron, amex approved for pumping then became invalid after lifting the nozzle. Had to redo. sometimes can sometimes cannot. anyone else?
*
Some petron doesn't allow Amex even though the terminal recognize amex.

I pump petron regularly, maybe only 1/10 Petron in KV doesn't accept

Is it just me that you can only pay with AMEX for malindo on phone or tablet. Book with desktop don't have AMEX option anymore.
