QUOTE(victorywp @ Nov 12 2013, 10:13 AM) her question is that there are people saying can pay maxis bill using amex via mb2u, but in the list of payees doesn't have maxis. yeap. i was referring to this post earliershe checked in her mb2u and the option doesn't show up. so she just want a double confirmation from anyone of us that it is not a glitch on her side and to prove to those saying that maxis bill can be paid using amex via mb2u is wrong. i hope i understand it correctly. QUOTE(crazyito @ Oct 6 2013, 10:43 PM) no choice. still have to pay using pay-by-phone option BIG THANKS! |

QUOTE(David83 @ Nov 12 2013, 07:51 PM) Which card are you referring by the way? Please quote your source to avoid confusion. I'm assuming you're referring to MBB2 AMEX. For MBB2 AMEX, only 5% rebate on weekend eligible transaction based on the transaction date. QUOTE(Heffalump @ Nov 12 2013, 07:54 PM) understood now. thanks for clearing the air |

how much % usually u get charged for using AMEX at small shop e.g at Lowyat Plaza computer shop
some charged me around 2.5 - 3.0% on each transaction, and they said the % is higher than Visa/MasterCard. |

the fact that almost all small shop i went to doing this extra charges makes me wonder if they're really legit
one of the shop owner told me that bank is charging them when we use their card facility on every transaction, hence it is unfair for them.. makes the profit taken away from their pocket |

QUOTE(sbd @ Nov 20 2013, 03:30 PM) what surcharge the shop charges you when you buy is probably different from what they are being charged by their merchant bank. see.. this is what im talking Typically in the retail trade, high turnover merchants are charged between 1.4% to 1.5% for MC/Visa. Most new merchants get charged 1.6% to 1.8% for Master and Visa but when they surcharge you it is usually between 2 to 3%. For Amex retail commissions taken from merchants are around 2% to 3% making it almost double MC/Visa. Shops will normally surcharge 3% to 5% for Amex. the surcharge is then passed to customers. a little less convenient if the surcharge amount is too high |

Bank Negara should make a ruling about this
when you display a logo means you are willing to accept the transaction using it because sometime the operator just reluctant to accept amex because of higher commision rate |
