I'm getting tforce 6100-AM2 anyway.
I do have question though. With the max vdimm of just 2.0v(is that a lot for ddr2 ram?), can I really push those ddr2-667?
2.0v seem to be like 2.8v for ddr1 platform to me.....

QUOTE(epsilon99 @ Aug 28 2006, 10:41 PM) I use Acbel 500w which does not have -5v with T6100-939. So far ok. Why ? The 6100 mobo has issue if no -5v ? lodhalol has the issue with enermax noisetaker 420w and 6100-am2. Somehow I get a reply from someone who is using 6100-am2. QUOTE That's certainly strange. I don't think lacking the -5v has anything to do with it because I've used it with my Fortron FSP400-60GLN power supply and (maybe) my Antec Phantom 350W power supply. Those two are my standard test units and neither have the -5v line.
I think it is just some kind of strange incompatibility. For instance, for a while many people were having problems with using the Antec NeoHE power supply with Asus socket 939 boards. The boards were fine and the power supplies were fine, they just didn't want to work with each other. This post has been edited by allenultra: Aug 29 2006, 08:03 AM

QUOTE(dblooi @ Dec 9 2006, 12:12 AM) dude i flash to the 505 bios adi ( for 6100 am2, not the modded 1) , but it took wrong measurement for the temperature ( idle 22 C , gosh i hope badly this is real one ) and i havent try out the beta modded bios bcoz it is using different file format ( dun dare to take the risks) so how's the modded bios, do this temperature problem occured in 505 modded bios ? temperature doesn't solved in 505 modded version. Just use "coretemp" to measure your temperature. go for 505.RH, its good. Using it now.

QUOTE(dblooi @ Dec 11 2006, 11:54 AM) isshhh... coz im using SMART mode to control over the cpu fan, if i flash to 505 bios , my cpu fan will operate in 600 RPM -800 RPM... dun feel like wanna tune the PWM/ value thingy oso bcoz i adi feel very hate when i saw the fake temperature. oh ya, how u flash to 505 .RH, can flash it by using winflash in windows? smart mode highly affect overclockability. disable it if u OC. just use 5v or 7v for the fan, then u can use 505RH bios. Why bother about the temperature? I never take a look at it as I know its always around 50c. lol I flash bios using floppy drive.
