Everybody is lactose intolerant, it just depends on the severity. Gradually increasing your milk intake will ease you into in without causing too much discomfort. Start off with milk substitutes and slowly add dairy to your diet. I was diagnosed as with lactose intolerance as a child and spent the better half of my early years on Enercal. Today, I eat cheese on a regular basis, and consume up to 2-4 glasses of milk a day without having to worry about stomach pains.
