QUOTE(Zhao @ May 21 2013, 10:52 PM) my method very noob one but u can try. go speed test app on your phone. change server, see which server nearest. hmm.. maxis umobile etc all within 4KM, cyberjaya 20+km, i think consider normal guawhen i m on private ip its very near to server ,on public ip its like few hundred km from the server. |

my wifi problem seems to be related to N, when i use N, seems like I'll have problem connecting to internet, but with B/G, i can connect, but seems very slow speed, just ~2mbps, and rather untable also |

area = Sunway, i hope i can get better signal here, 2600 = ~50% signal, can get more then 10mbps at times, but very very unstable
just tested 1800, ~60-70% signal, speed between 2-15mbps, dunno why sometimes extremely low... so far ok lar, but scare my dad complain cos his tv channel need network connection, and sister cant connect stable enough to her vpn |

QUOTE(xphr3ak @ Jun 3 2013, 12:39 AM) How do you know the band for the each tower? I am happy to settle down with ~10mbps, as long as it's constantly stable.... feel reluctant to install Spider ROOter into it... but seems like i am running out of choice now...Mind to share. Now, my internet connection also not stable and hardly peak to 20mbps. Just 11mbps Arghh... |

gurus here, i would like to ask, is there any known way to boost signal reception, to be frank, I am not too sure where the tower in my area are located, the cell mapper only show a few low accuracy tower nearby me, and i'm not sure what that means....
I figure if i can get ~80% signal for LTE i might be able to get stable connection... just wishful thinking.. right now it does seems to be jumping tower very frequently even after locking frequency.. if there's anyway i can force lock to one tower also as a workaround |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jun 3 2013, 11:14 AM) 1) Place your modem at a nice Feng Shui spot, windows is nice hmm.. will try this later tonight.. but dunno why it does seems my window giving me lower signal, maybe the modem was high or something, lemme try that again tonight2) Consider using some signal boosting equipment eg Soy Box. (Refer WIKI) 3) Update the modem to the latest 11.433.61 firmware http://blacktubi.com/files/Firmware%20Upda...33.61.10.55.exe 4) Force modem to 1800 or 2600Mhz LTE 5) Get an antenna if really that serious just a reference question, anyone updated to latest firmware and have better signal with it... also, thinking to flash my router firmware to spider rooter.. will that help stability also? QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 5 2013, 01:12 AM) My beloved 1800 MHz when will you be recovered? I miss you so much... lol, your speed already good enough lar, although i can understand once u tasted 50mbps, your life will never be the same again ![]() Slowed speed... anyway did a firmware upgrade for my E398, and wow I am amazed, it's either they upgraded the 2600Mhz tower ( I'm using 1800Mhz for a few days ), or the modem really improved significantly, previously 2600Mhz gives me ~70ms, ~10Mbps down, and around 2Mbps up when u plugged into PC, today morning after upgrade, it gives me <50ms most the time, ~19mbps down, and ~4mbps up, like almost double performance liao lol router still no time flash, maybe tonight flash to spider and see how |

QUOTE(fitzhex @ Jun 5 2013, 10:41 AM) yeap, U1V2, and i get ~10% boost as well, previously was 48-55%, now sort of stable at 60+%, overall happy..if the line keeps on become stable like this, Unifi is forgettable soon enough curious tho, is there a way to split the phone out so that i can connect to a normal house phone for calling in/out using the phone line? (without losing LTE due to data sim clone of coz ) |
