I've heard mineral are really bad and might cause some diseases !

QUOTE(Raja brahman @ May 20 2013, 10:11 AM) Is the RO( reverse osmosis ) water really better than a mineral water?!? How can we sure of the quality of it ? RO is a pure H2O. It was originaly conceived for industrial cleaning use. Mineral water is a underground water which contain many minerals. But we must remember something. For ages, human never drink a pure H2O. We drink from natural source water which are rich in minerals. Some claim that RO is not good for health since the pure water will dissolve the minerals that beneficial to our bodyI've heard mineral are really bad and might cause some diseases ! |

RO is pure H2O with no mineral.... its not good for health.... mineral water is a better choice....
do you know that long time ago china emperor they only drink water/alcohol from their fine clay pot..... and because of this fine clay pot, it provides mineral to the water itself which makes the drink healthy... --> i heard this from some china tour guide during my tour in china... |

Pure RO water is not recommended for long term household consumption. Remineralized RO water is fine though, and some filtration systems do implement this.
Mineral water, if filtered and tested to meet recommend standards, is fine. |

I add a pinch of organic sea salt in my drinking water at home (boiled tap water), RO water at office (it gets more salt) and even bottled mineral water (I still add in that pinch with Spritzer water).
Reason: Trying to get to Evian water quality --> total dissolved solids. Evian water is not purified, just bottled. It's already slight salter so it's the only water I don't add salt in. |

R.O. water unhealthy because remove the mineral in water and makes the water acidic (often well below 7.0 pH). Drink acidic water will not help maintain a healthy pH balance in the blood, which should be slightly alkaline.

RO water supposed to be pure H2O. but somehow it always tastes funny. Im guessing there are still very minute particles that can get through the filter.

The RO process on home machines aren't as good as the industrial RO systems so you're not going to get as pure water in general. However there's also the opinion that we're getting enough minerals from other sources that you don't really need more minerals from mineral water.
RO water is slightly acidic at roughly pH 6, but your stomach acid is even more acidic at pH 1-3.5. I'm not sure why the slight acidity of RO is relevant. There are arguments on both sides so drink whatever you can get your hands on |

QUOTE(Raja brahman @ May 20 2013, 10:11 AM) Is the RO( reverse osmosis ) water really better than a mineral water?!? How can we sure of the quality of it ? As far as I know, RO system is finest filtration system available now, unlike the mineral water, it filter out all impurities and contaminants like bacteria, and bad chemicals. I am not an expert but, The water supplier I am using now is called HappyWater has sent one of their representative to my place to do water testing for free. I am surprised with the test result between the different types of water and decided to sign up service contract with HappyWater since then.I've heard mineral are really bad and might cause some diseases ! I found out that in mineral waters are not that clean as being advertised. Here is their contact number, you can go and see by yourself happywater.my 03-4043 4090 email: info @ happywater.my |
