i just bought a logitech z906..so i tried to use the remote but the console is not receiving any signal..i changed to new batteries and still failed..the console only receive signal when i put the remote to at least 1 cm, thats right, 1 CENTIMETER from the console..any further than that cannot detect signal..

why is this happening/ is it problem with the remote control or any other problem? i contacted the supplier and he said he will check the problem for me, but it will take time.

need advice from you guys, thanks

Could be dirt and/ or smudge on the IR transmitter and/or receiver window. Have you tried cleaning them? hmm.gif

Yups, should claim warranty from your supplier. By right, you could claim 1-to-1 exchange with another new unit if it was freshly bought (within a few days or a week). Of course, very much depends on the supplier or vendor on their own warranty claim policies. You could haggle your way into getting an exchange for a new one... wink.gif
