860W for Dual top end cards like HD7970 or GTX680 and somemore highly overclocked is more than enough bro. I'm using 2x7970 OC to 1300/1700 with WC setup using dual pumps, cpu OC'ed to 4.8GHz at 1.38v and Max I saw power consumption pulled from my PSU was 780W only. So GTX680 SLI of course no problem at all. Unless you plan to go for trifire, your current PSU is good enough already for Dual cards setup.

oh thx for the information, but what software you use to trace the power consumption ? will using the PSU @ 90% of its max wattage damage the electronic parts?

It's corsair Link software that comes together with AX1200i bro. For normal 24/7 you will not utilize even 85% of total power even when highly overclocked.

regarding utilizing 90% of max total power, it wont damage the other parts inside, if anything happen you still get covered by their warranty.

A 780W max power draw above not for 24/7 bro..normaly 24/7 for me using 2x OC'ed 7970s and cpu at 4.5GHz are about 4xx-5xx full load, you need not worry bro as you already have a powerful PSU smile.gif

sorry to asking such question out of the blue, im curious how those enthusiast utilize their 1200w psu hmm.gif some even consider to use 2 psu because 1 is just not sufficient enough. besides of tri-fire/tri-sli or quad-fire 7990/quad-sli 690...how did they do that and why did they do that? sweat.gif

is the corsair link software able to test my seasonic 860W platinum?

the reason i buy seasonic because corsair also use their psu, and corsair will cost RM100 more for the same spec.

according to the picture that taxidoor provided the total usage of the system excluding other stuffs just motherboard, proc , and also graphic cards will require a minimum of 1400W if you overclocked all the chips. definitely a 1200W power supply will be under pressure even a platinum rate one.
