Guys, i'm facing FPS drop or what so ever it call while playing Asphalt 7.
and yes, already testing on ipad 2, ipad 3, and others ipad 4 like mine. only my 1 facing low FPS problem.(im playing with my fren)
and shit stuff is even ipad 2 run smoother than mine

Anyway to fix this problem?? i tried to restore my ipad, and with only Asphalt 7 in my ipad, still same problem
can i claim for warranty??

I dont think the new ipad cpu can cope with higher resolution, Which is why they make the 2nd gen retina ie iad 4

i think he stated that his unit is ipad 4 meanwhile ipad3 performs without lag.


to TS , btw i felt my previous ipad4 lags at certain game like alphart 7 , iron man , modern warfare etc compared to my little iphone5.

maybe ipad4 problem ?

yeah, tat sarks even playing iron man 3!!
i first thought its normal coz heavy graphic, then mana tau, almost zero lag on iphone!
Watching my fren playing without any lag with their ipad 2 and 3, i got jelly. i think i will go back to the service center to check this out

need to bring 3 unit of my fren ipad 2gether to prove it!!

happened to me as well.

but i never tested it with other device eg like other older version of ipads.

did u jailbreak ur ipad4?

might be one of the cause..just MIGHT.

iron man3 lags quite heavily when its played by an ipad4.

but not so lag on iphone5.

i have playing asphalt 7 with ipad 2 without lagging. it is super smooth. The lag never happen on me

nope, no jail break. i even restore my ipad and install only asphalt 7..still same lag, dammit!

don know this kind of situation can claim for warranty or not leh..

I personally think that iPad 3 & 4 processor (A5x & A6x respectively) is not that powerful enough to power the high resolution aka Retina Display. THis is the main reason that we might face some lag when we are playing some hardcore high end graphic intensive game.

iPhone in the other hand, due to its lower screen resolution and almost on par processor that is used in the iPad (A6 vs A6x) , but far lower resolution to run the game in, thats why it is pretty easy to get a lag free gaming experience.

So, as long as it is playable, just live with it and no complain Might as well wait for iPad 5 for those who are still considering to buy an iPad 4 now

p/s im hoping to see QUad core CPU in next gen ipad

Haha bro, what i mean and trying to say is that the A5x/A6X processor used in the iPad is not that powerful compared to the A5/A6 used in the iPhone mostly due to the needs to power so big resolution in the ipad compared to in the iphone.

I am not saying that A6 is more powerful than A6x, but is that for its duty, A6 perform more than enough whereas A6x just maybe on the fence and just enough for what it is going to power for

ok got it, it's the power/screen resolution ratio, but that's off topic and not helping the situation at all.

using your analyzation based on the peocessor/resolution, the ipad 3 supposed to have the worse combination out of those you mentioned, yet the iPad 3 did NOT lag but iPad 4 does, which most probably nothing to do with the processing power. if this actually happen to you i don't think you'll be willing to live with it. it's like you bought a new display card that's supposedly an upgrade for your gaming rig yet it perform worse than before.

Yup bro, if me, i cant accept as well given the fact that a lower powered A5x in the iPad 3 is capable of running the game smoothly but not the iPad 4

uh lol not that i mind! but hope TS can have the problem fixed, probably another iOS update!

But isnt it quite obvious that it might be hardware problem?

i actually googled about the problem and found discussion about this at macrumors forum. apparently, some of the 3D games seems to have the special effects disabled on iPad 3, but fully enabled on iPad 4 (and iPad 2 too, for reference), so while iPad 3 has less power to drive such screen resolution, so developers disabled the special effect for healthy frame rate, while enabled it on iPad 4 for full experience and yet the processor inside iPad 4 seems can't quite keep up with the demand. maybe TS can first check if there's any graphical differences between iPad 2/3/4 when playing the same game.

not sure how apple or game developers would fix this, we'll see...

Yea, i read this before some where also. But i have yet to see so big difference in the 2. Maybe some splashing of water to the screen when you play riptide GP.
