Did your budget includes the secondhand parts as well? If no,

i5-4670k - RM695 / i7-4770k - RM999
MSI Z87-G43 - RM429 / MSI Z87-G45 Gaming - RM533
Phanteks TC14PE - RM289
128GB Plextor M5S - RM299
Rosewill Hive 650M Bronze *Semi Modular* - RM295
NZXT Phantom 410 - RM349
Dell U2312HM - RM539

Total = RM2895/RM3303
*
Unfortunately, my budget includes the secondhand items as well. :/
I don't mind getting just one WD Caviar, and save up for an SSD.

I don't need an i7.

Isn't Rosewill Hive 650W Fully Modular though?
I'd rather spend a bit extra for a more quality case, as I plan to reuse the case. How does the Nzxt Phantom 410 compare to the Corsair 500r?

Its semi modular and it is value for your money compared with most of the quality brands.

Chassis is just up to your preference, no comments. smile.gif

How does the GTX 680 compare to the HD7950?

I'm thinking twice about buying a secondhand GTX 680 with no warranty left.
What's your thought on this?

Well, its very hard to define hardware components durability but you can place your bet on it.

So if you have enough budget why not getting a new one?

You may consider PALIT GTX770 at only RM1395, 2 years warranty or the impending Zotac GTX770 at nearly same price point, 5 years warranty.

That'll cost me extra RM500 at least. A bit over budget already.
Hopefully the GPU last for another 2 years.

Thanks anyway!

EDIT:

Question regarding OS. I am running Windows 7 on my laptop now, can I use it for my PC? Note that I do not have the CD, but I did do the Asus backup and burnt it on 3 CDs.
Will this guide work with my 3 burnt CDs?

Hahah. No way would you need more than 550w w/ a single GPY setup with no Overclocking. As for good PSUs, try Rosewill Capstone series, cheap but very effecient.

Slight difference between both boards and more Sata III ports IINM.

I would just go for G45 for the affordable pricing, don't have to pay more for it. smile.gif

can give opinion about my choices of hardware

Intel i5-4430 - RM559
ASROCK H87 Performance RM375
Value DDR3 8GB 1600 RAM - RM184
SAPPHIRE 7870XT RM769 (is there any card from nvidia that equivalent not more than rm800?)
WD 1TB RM187
PSU - can recommend me for normal and modular type
Corsair 300r - RM269

budget should be RM2600 but can add more for modular PSU

Overall G65 is more for overclockers, most of the features are not necessary for common users. wink.gif

To all Shifu in Hardware section,
What is recommend to build pc in budget of RM2500++

Comparing E3 1230 v2 and Haswell, is better to take the new haswell I5 right?

Was looking at the GS section and found out that the Asrock Fatal1ty H87 Performance is not that expensive that i thought, Does it best for buy in my budget?

guys, is this PSU good enough to support i5 3570k with hd 7970 ghz edition? i m thinking to get this, because its only selling on RM225.00 for a 650w PSU, is AeroCool good enough to compete against corsair or xigmatek PSU?

-AeroCool Templarius Imperator 650W 80PLUS BRONZE Power Supply

and also have you guys heard about this casing before? i m also thinking to take this casing because the price is RM139, its cheaper than elite 430 series... BTW can it fit in my processor and GPU as well?
-X-FIVE RTX C2 PLUS GAMING CASING USB 3.0 WITH SIDE PANEL

thank you

Erm... I wouldn't want to trust that unit. Looks too cheap for a 650W unit. I'd rather get a Corsair/Seasonic unit for that.
