Ah yeah... and it's quite nice looking also... brows.gif
What colors do you have on the Phanteks? brows.gif
Will you bring in alpenfohn heatsinks? brows.gif

You might need to consider on Swiftech H220 for AIO water-cooling, try googling it and you will found good reviews about it.

Can turn into a custom loop as well... brows.gif

guys, is this PSU good enough to support i5 3570k with hd 7970 ghz edition? i m thinking to get this, because its only selling on RM225.00 for a 650w PSU, is AeroCool good enough to compete against corsair or xigmatek PSU?

-AeroCool Templarius Imperator 650W 80PLUS BRONZE Power Supply
and also have you guys heard about this casing before? i m also thinking to take this casing because the price is RM139, its cheaper than elite 430 series... BTW can it fit in my processor and GPU as well?
-X-FIVE RTX C2 PLUS GAMING CASING USB 3.0 WITH SIDE PANEL

thank you
*
Erm... I wouldn't want to trust that unit. Looks too cheap for a 650W unit. I'd rather get a Corsair/Seasonic unit for that.

Horrible power supply, and overpriced graphics card as well. Do you need a full tower case? That one is pretty expensive and I'd get a cheaper case and spend the money elsewhere.

hi all sifu, need suggestion
i wanna change my mid tower rig to those "mini itx gaming rig", planning to transfer some hardware over.
budget about  1.5k max
my spec are as my siggy, which of the hardware i can transfer?
-Budget 1~ 1.5k max
-Case Bitfenix Prodigy or something similar
*
There are several issues your build:
1. Prodigy is a massive ITX case.
2. There's no AMD AM3 mini-ITX boards right now... Which means you will need to swap to Intel...
3. Your PSU may not fit into the Prodigy case, or it may be a very tight fit.

i dont mind switching to intel, is my budget still do-able? or need increase? the PSU i read from somewhere about cutting it to adjust the fitting...

Sell off your CPU/board/GPU, and possiblity the PSU... I think they can fetch for quite some bucks ya know... brows.gif
Then get an Intel setup, something like a Z87E-ITX with 4670K, or the older Z77E-ITX with a 3570K. Do note that if you opt for the latter option, you may need to get an all-in-one cooling loop because tower-based air coolers may block the PCI-E slots.
Another alternative to go for a microATX build instead, for example the SG09/TJ08-E, along with a Z87/Z77 mATX board with a 4670K/3570K. The SG09 is actually smaller than the Prodigy, yet it fits tower air coolers and mATX boards..

Here's a SG09 build by CyntrixTech:

Why don't you build your own? You can get a much more powerful build with that. Here's two build for you:

Intel:
i5 4670K-RM709
ASRock Z87 Extreme3-RM519
WD Caviar Blue 1TB-RM219
Kingston 1x8GB Value RAM-RM199
Zotac GTX770 Amp!-RM1499 (GBros @ Garage Sales)
LiteOn DVD Writer-RM55
Seasonic G 550 PSU-RM329
Corsair Carbide 400R Casing-RM299
CM Hyper 212 Evo-RM129
Total: RM3957
Prices from C-Zone, Idealtech and lingloong@Garage Sales. This version of the GTX770 is even faster than the 680, and approaching the expensive RM2000+ GTX780. Oh, card comes with 5 years (2 year local+3 year extended) warranty.

AMD:
AMD FX-8320-RM519
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3-RM479
WD Caviar Blue 1TB-RM219
Kingston 1x8GB Value RM-RM199
Zotac GTX770 AMP!-RM1499 (GBros @ Garage Sales)
LiteOn DVD Writer-RM55
Seasonic G 550 PSU-RM329
Corsair Carbide 400R Casing-RM299
CM Hyper 212 Evo-RM129
Plextor M5S 128GB SSD-RM299
Total: RM4026
Prices from C-Zone, Idealtech and lingloong@Garage Sales. The FX-8320 is almost identical to the 3570K/4670K when it comes to single-threaded performance, but when it comes to multi-threaded applications, the FX-8320 is almost as fast as an i7 3770. Next-gen games could get multithreading ya know... tongue.gif

Hello. I play mostly fps. Crysis, CoD, Battlefield etc etc. I would love to play at ultra settings ideally. I currently only have a mouse, and a Dell notebook and I miss gaming.

How is this set-up? Budget 4k including peripherals, won't be needing speakers so urgently. Also have to purchase a copy of Windows 7 which isn't included in the current budget.

CPU: CORE I5 4670 - RM 665
MOBO:  ASRock H87 PRO4 - RM319
RAM: 8GB Kingston Hyper X -1600C9D3K2 (RM 259)
GPU: ASUS GTX760 2GB D5 DCU II OC (RM 1199)
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB (RM189)
PSU: Seasonic S12II 620W (RM299)
CASING:  AEROCOOL X-PREDATOR X1 (RM199)
KEYBOARD: Logitech G110 (rm184)
MONITOR (23") : Dell U2312HM - rm589
LiteOn dvd writer: rm60

TOTAL PRICE: RM3962
Most likely not going to overclock, think it's unnecessary.

So am I set for life? Is it future proof for at least 4-5 years? Any improvements that can be made?

Appreciate your feedback.
*
Not bad, though I'd downgrade the RAM to a Value RAM, and go for a cheaper board. tongue.gif
Ditch the keyboard first since that's a luxury, and get a Zotac GTX770 for RM1395, or a Zotac GTX770 AMP! for RM1499 at GBros@GArage Sales...

There's no futureproofing in PCs FYI. This is a very common misconception about futureproofing. tongue.gif

there is not much different between i5 and i7 huh?
which one is good?
*
Both should do it fine though, but the AMD build comes with a SSD, which should improves overall system responsiveness (loading of games, OS and programs installed on the SSD). Note that this do not improves in-game FPS. i7 is basically i5 with HyperThreading, and HyperThreading is known for lowering gaming performance instead of increasing them.

Planning for a mid budget PC, would appreciate if any bro can give me some opinion on this build. Thanks

Processor            Intel CORE i5 4570                                610.00
Motherboard    ASUS P8Z77-V LX                                419.00
RAM                    8 GB KINGSTON D3 PC1600                200.00
Harddisk            2TB SEAGATE 64M 7200 RPM SATA 6.0 280.00
VGA                      SAPPHIRE HD7850 2GB D5 256BIT        650.00
Power Supply    625W EXTREME 2 POWER                240.00

LED Monitori    Samsung 24" S24C350HL                620.00
Solid State Drive    SANDISK ULTRA PLUS 64G                240.00

Total RM 3,500

I was thinking 550W enough for this build ? and what is the SSD suggestion, its necessary ? most of my time is for web browsing, youtube, movie and part for gaming like GTA5.

Haswell CPU on an Ivy Bridge motherboard? doh.gif
Horrible power supply as well...

Let's see...
i5 4430-RM589
ASRock H87 Pro4-RM319
G. Skill 8GB Value RAM-RM189
Seagate 2TB-RM280
Zotac GTX760 2GB GDDR5-RM799
Seasonic S12II 620W-RM299
CM K280-RM119
Dell U2312HM IPS Monitor-RM589 (CyntrixTech@Garage Sales)
Plextor M5S SSD-RM299
Total: RM3482

Prices from Idealtech@Garage Sales, lingloong@Garage Sales and CyntrixTech@Garage Sales
The GTX760 is a step up from the 7850... and a far superior PSU for this build. IINM the CM K550 is actually worse than the CM K280 when it comes to cable management... (might just get the Corsair Carbide or the NZXT Source)

ASRock H87M
Corsair/Kingston DDR3 1600 Value Ram 4GB X 2
Leadtek GTX760 2GB DDR5
WD Caviar Blue 1TB

Corsair Obsidian 350D
LiteOn 24x DVDRW SATA
DELL U2312HM 23" LED

-What fans options will be optimal for airflow for top of the case, not going for water cooling.Front fans and rear fans already included in the case.
-Is there a difference in terms of reliability or performance between kingston and corsair rams.
-Is there any disadvantage between an mATX and a ATX board besides its size and expansion slots.

Sorry for the many questions but want to get a clearer picture from the gurus here at the forums. Thanks again.

How about a Zotac GTX760? brows.gif It's currently priced at RM799, and has 2+3 (2 years local+3 years extended) years warranty... Ask CyntrixTech@Garage Sales or GBros @ Garage Sales if you want further information. tongue.gif

If you are not going watercooling, the 350D is pretty big though... If you want something smaller, take a look at the Silverstone TJ08-E... It's a very nice mATX case, and cable management is pretty easy on that case.

Kingston and Corsair RAMs are both equally reliable... and both of them should perform identically (Value RAMs of course)

Not much disadvantage of mATX boards, but note that fitting a giant air cooler (such as the Noctua NH-D14) may block the RAM slots. (Can be overcame by using a low profile RAM)

I think invest in higher output PSU such as Corsair VS650 just to prevent any possibility of "power shortage" although newer cards should be power saving, but i won't know for sure which card you plan to upgrade.
