QUOTE(s@ni @ May 27 2013, 05:36 PM) according to lancer, 40k.... so mine will oni change at 50k coz last time too late edi Ok...i just did my CVT oils, feels great after the change but a few things to take note :i got no free voucher, lost edi.. my oni hopes is this SC that can accept to service my car without voucher coz they serviced my car several times edi 1) I went to a few service center....apparently they are unaware our Proton Inspira uses Mitsubishi Diaqueen CVT Fluid-J1 4 Liter Can (P/N: S0001401), some service center I went show me a Proton CVT Fluid in 1 liter packaging with different part number. Of course i went away and consulted my mechanic about this. 2) Some of you starts to thing....is it 4 liter or 6 liter? According to mechanic, if you just unplug the bolt and DRAIN the used oil out from the bottom of your gearbox, you will need a 4 liter can...which my mechanic show me by draining my used CVT fluid to an empty engine oil bottle which is 4 liter. More CVT fluid is needed if you were to FLUSH... it means they will use some machine to circulate the used oil and replace it with new oil therefore need almost double the amount because the CVT Fluid in your CVT Radiator will be flushed out and refilled with new ones too therefore you need more. I dunno what method will the service center "flush" your CVT....so be careful of it's just draining then make sure they charge you the drain price not the flush price. Therefore...if flush means 99% new fluid and drain means you still have some old fluid remaining . 3) The Mitsubishi Diaqueen CVT Fluid J1 is roughly around RM220 on the market out there...but in proton's list(based on proton-edar.com.my) it's around RM177.40 for 4 liters. So double confirm on the fluid they use...no harm asking right? This is the one...the 4 liter can that i use to drain and change my CVT fluid : ![]() The one some service center show me is as below (picture googled from internet)... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by blursquid: May 28 2013, 12:07 AM |

QUOTE(s@ni @ May 28 2013, 12:13 AM) Honestly i was blur too then i went to ask a few service center....all was like refer to manual and tell me the price, when i ask about oil all say dunno then when i ask for part-number all give me different different part number. All SC i went got different info sheets...some say 6 liters and some say 4 liters and some say 4.5 liters. QUOTE(selinix @ May 28 2013, 12:31 AM) Good info. Can share which SC will use this fluid? My next service is 40k .. would need to change cvt fluid.. Don't want to cause any unpleasant thing to the 27k thingy I didn't send to SC but i did it outside. You can ask SC to show you the fluid before you drop your car or ask them for the part number....i dunno if proton has OEM the fluid but better be careful than be sorry. Even if you pull out the the transmission dip stick it'll state clearly and the oil to used...» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by blursquid: May 28 2013, 12:42 AM |

QUOTE(shelby_yong @ May 28 2013, 12:58 AM) You'll be surprised how kelam kabut is all the service center....during my 1st and 2nd service i have to argue to get Mitsubishi Oil Filter....all the SCs was like, same one...Proton never inform us that Inspira has different Oil Filter. Until i give them the part number and they check....This post has been edited by blursquid: May 28 2013, 01:04 AM |

QUOTE(SothysSaleShop @ May 28 2013, 01:16 AM) My mechanic is near Ampang Yong Tau Foo area, around the area at the junction to turn into Pandan Mewah (where TiTaN is), a bit far from most of us if you do need then PM me cz quite hard to find....actually don't need to be an expert to service the CVT, just make sure SC use the correct fluid and they don't over charge you by billing extra amount of CVTF nothing complex. I kena laugh by my cousin because in NZ he services his own gearbox and engine oil...but i pissed him off by saying labour here are cheap so why dirty your hands when you can act like a boss. |

Use 4 liter can...i think many of us not so familiar with CVTs anyway did you do the flushing?? used only 4L? QUOTE(s@ni @ May 28 2013, 08:54 AM) wow thanx bro. his labour cost how much? rm20 oni? My mechanic charges me RM30 for labour/tuition fees. I bought the Mitsubishi CVTF-J1 for RM250 (random buy din shop around)1L - RM45, rite? so u use oni 4L, which is RM180 ?
