I am planning to go to Macau and Hong Kong next year 2012 on Jan. I able to find the flight to Macau from KL at around RM184 per way while to Hong Kong is around RM350++ So I am thinking to fly to Macau instead of Hong Kong.
I check the hotel at Agoda, I found out the cheapest hotel I can get in Macau is RM250++ Any one know is there any hotel in Macau can cost below RM200?
Thank you!
I am going to Northern China on March 2012 so I am thinking to skip Zhuhai, China this time as 7 days trip just enough for Macau and Hong Kong and no time to Zhuahai and Shenzhen already.
If someone can recommend cheap hotel in Zhuhai, maybe I can consider but I heard that the immigration custom between Zhuhai and Macau is crowded and furthermore the China visa is a single entry only so I don't think can practise this way like stay in Johor then go to Singapore daily.........

QUOTE(tehtmc @ Sep 2 2011, 01:38 PM) Avoid staying in Macau on Fridays and weekengs, rates are substantially higher. It's hard to find anything below RM200, not even the sleazy ones. I recommend flying in to Macau and out from HK, or vice versa. The ferry fare is not cheap (about HK150 one-way) not to mention the time and hassle. Cheap airfare is not everything, you have to consider other factors. Zuhai hotel rates are cheap(RM100+ for a decent hotel) but you can't be crossing the border everyday and you need multi visa for China also. Thanks for your information. How about take bus from Macau to Hong Kong? By land is cheaper than ferry? And sure I need the China visa for that if using land transport. Are we able to get Multi Entry China Visa?

QUOTE(tehtmc @ Sep 2 2011, 03:20 PM) Multi-entry visa for China cost RM200+ compared to RM80 for single entry (agent charge). Look up google map for the area to see how far they are if you use land route. Not practical la. Then is a bit expensive for Multi entry visa for China unless want to stay in Macau-Zhuhai area for long time. Anyway, flying back from HK to KL is RM300++ While from Macau is doing promotion on Jan 2012 which is only RM184 We have 5 persons If you are me, what is the option will you do?

QUOTE(tehtmc @ Sep 2 2011, 03:46 PM) I have done KL-Macau-HK-Macau-KL and wished I did KL-Macau-HK-KL. It takes a good half-day to travel : hotel-ferry terminal-ferry-terminal-hotel. Travelling time is also $$. Also, you'll probably go back to Macau a day earlier to be on the safe side. If the difference is just RM200, I'd say fly back from HK la. Thanks for your valuebale information, I will take this as my consideration

QUOTE(tehtmc @ Sep 2 2011, 05:23 PM) I think it's true in general about travelling. It's advisable not to go back to the same place where you started the journey unless you have a strong reason to e.g. big difference in airfare. 5 persons going back to KL from HK one way is costing RM2000+ But if flying round trip between Macau and KL is total around RM2800 for 5 persons Seems like maybe I have to do KL-Macau-HK-Macau-KL Maybe can go back Macau for Casino before going back? At this price will you still do KL-Macau-HK-KL ?
