Just out of curiosity, why do you guys organize trips like this? Do you really find such hectic schedules fun? Maybe I'm just old (I'm 33) but I very much prefer leisurely holidays and take the time to properly enjoy each place. This is also why I tend to hate organized tours because they are always hurrying you to get from place to place. For example, my wife and I are going to only Hong Kong / Macau for 4 nights the week after next. We intend to sleep late (we're on holiday!), spend time swimming in the hotel pool etc., and take slow walks. This wouldn't be possible if you tried to pack in lots of cities in such a short time.

During our honeymoon in France, we spent a week in just two cities, Paris and Arles, and we still felt that we didn't have enough time to appreciate Paris properly. I can't imagine what it would be like to go on one of those whole of Europe in 1 week tours.

yes, agree with u. I am not into organised tour historical visit.

Last time when Europe, manage to cover London-Paris-Geneva-Berne. I wont take those Europe tours as well. Better find a place you want to go and plan from there provided u already know what u want. Dont let people decide for u.

Btw, if u into beach and like to spend time with your loved ones, i strongly recommend Boracay, Philippines (go to Cebu - fly to Caticlan and boat to Boracay) or into romantic getaway, go to Yongpyeong, South Korea (where they filmed Winter Sonata. Guarantee your loved ones will love u forever)...opss...sorry off topic here guys.

Slight correction, I do like to visit historical places. I just don't like to visit any place with an organized tour. Also, my wife has no interest whatsoever in places that are famous just because they used it to film a romantic television series. We specifically avoid them.

But it doesn't really address my question. My concern isn't primarily about organized tours. It's about why people like to arrange their holiday schedules like that. Is it because you feel that you get more value for money like this by travelling to more places and seeing more things even though you end up being tired and not really have the time to appreciate every location at your leisure?
