Hi all,

im going to Macau for 4d3n in mid of June this year. Will be fully in Macau only and not planning for day trip to HK this round due to large no of ppl involve, including 2 elderly and 3 kids.

Would appreciate any feedback on my initial itinerary.  smile.gif

day 1.
4pm - arrival Macau
5-6pm - check in hotel (Royal hotel) and settle down
7pm - dinner at Cheung Kei Noodle House
after dinner, go for Macau night scenery at Wynn Macau for lake performance, etc.

Question - is above places are walking distance or need to take taxi? is taxi easily accessible?

day 2.
930am - breakfast at Margaret's Cafe
1030am - visits Senado Square, Ruins of St Paul, Mount Fort, Macau Museum, St. Dominic Church (all nearby attractions)

noon - take taxi to Taipa Village - Rua do Cunha
lunch at Seng Cheong for water crab porridge
tea break at Mok Yi Kei for gelatin dessert cake

Q - pork chop bun - Tai Lei Loi Kei receives bad comments recently. is it worth to try? if not, any other nice pork chop buns in Macau?

Night - Venetian
Dinner - any suggestion??
Day 3
930am - breakfast at Casa de Cha Long Wa for dim sum breakfast
take taxi to visits A-Ma Temple
then take taxi to Coloane Village - visit St. francis church, etc
to eat: Lord Stow's portuguese tart.
lunch? - any recommended lunch here? portuguese food?

to visit - Hac Sa Beach, Rua de Hac Sá Long Chao Kok,  famous cheoc van beach?

Night - dinner?
        - to visit Venetian again.

Day 4
930am - breakfast at Leitaria 1 Son
visit - Guia Fortress, Wine & Grand Prix Museum
lunch at Cheung Kei Noodle House
Departure to airport

Please suggest any other nice food in Macau for dinner especially. My day 3 seems like nothing to do. LOL. Any recommendations? Thank you!! notworthy.gif

i just came back from macau
stayed at hotel royal too
my girl and i walk all the way around macau and took the free shuttle bus from the hotel to many places
free shuttle goes to a ma temple too and other major attractions around macau
guia fortress is right behind royal hotel, but have to hike up a small hill
to get to rua do cunha, take the free hotel shuttle to galaxy then take galaxy free shuttle to rua do cunha
all major hotels eg venetian and galaxy have great network of free buses going around
so just plan your trip wherever you want to go then walk back to royal hotel
galaxy buses stop nearest to hotel royal at "san ma lo" aka Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro or stop by star world hotel then walk back to royal hotel (15min walk)
the house of dancing waters is one of the highlights, as recommended by human nature, worth every single penny smile.gif
there's a michael jackson cafe at novotel ponte 16
and bungee jump at macau tower --> AWESOME!

Hi Keston,

thanks for your feedback. is it convenient to take the shuttle bus if i carry stroller with me all the time? is the shuttle bus will be too pack? Coz i have 3 kids with 2 strollers. 6 adults.

that is great that there is shuttle bus to go a ma temple. from a ma temple, is it easy to take taxi/bus to go to rua do cunha?

on the house of dancing waters, where do you purchase the tickets? smile.gif

Bungee jump at macau tower...for adult right? worth to visit macau tower? i have yet put this into my itinerary.

What? u have 5d4n also not enough explore macau alone? i have 4d3n and everyone telling me it is more than enough and tell me i should allocate a day to HK. LOL

for royal hotel, u can book the shuttle bus, just tell the bell boy downstairs, most of them are pinoys, give your room number

taxi and buses are everywhere
there's a tourist information centre at senado square (10min walk from royal hotel), they will tell you the bus number and how much to pay
anyway, the bus number is on most of the free maps

house of dancing waters -> http://thehouseofdancingwater.com/en/
u can even watch clips on youtube (for spoilers)

bungee jump for the old and young
as long as you're more than 40kg smile.gif
its the highest bungee in the world -> http://www.ajhackett.com/macau/
much cheaper to buy the bungee package at the bottom of the tower cause it includes the tower entrance fee

haha yea everyone say one two days can finish macau but we just jalan everywhere trying to see everything 4D also cant finish lol

and if you're from penang, the currency exchange along kapitan flying spaghetti monster gives good rate
100 macau pataca = 42.4 ringgit
aeon credit card charge 100 macau pataca = rm41.8 smile.gif

Oh ya
And we went to watch panda name Kai Kai n xin xin
The security guard inside the enclosure is like the "unofficial guide", giving pointers and lectures about panda lol
It's only 10mop per pax for an hour
Went for the 3-4pm slot cause the ticket counter fella told us its the panda feeding time
Quite an enjoyable experience as the pandas are more active
Much better than the lazy pandas in ueno zoo in Tokyo hehe

Thanks for your feedback Keston! So, i no need to prior booking for the shuttle bus right? Once arrival, just go to the counter right?
*
yup
just give your name to the bell boy
and familiarise yourself with the schedule
and also learn the galaxy and venetian shuttle buses route so you get free trips around the island! smile.gif

i got the royal macau deal cause on AAGo, its classify as five star hotel and it gave the best rate compared to other hotels
overall location not that bad, walking distance to senada square/st paul ruins/guia hill, though the casino in it is freaking small -.-
lots of pinoys worker, very polite and can speak proper english
