Last year I visited Macau and stayed at 3 different hotels, Best Western Sun Sun a budget hotel, Grand Lisboa and The Venetian. Click here to read my article Macau Food Shopping which is a freaking long article but you'll get a rough idea what's there to eat and do. If you want to see photos of Grand Lisboa Macau Hotel near Senoda Square and The Venetian Resort Hotel rooms click here to my article Grand Lisboa and The Venetian. And I be going to Macau again this November. Actually flying into Macau with Air Asia and flying out from Hong Kong. And I book my rooms via agoda.com/ If you guys have Maybank Visa and MAsterCard, agoda offers 6% discount and if you have a CIMB Visa credit card, better you compare the rate at the check out page. Click below link to read my experience when I book my Hong Kong and Macau hotel rooms online. Agoda Maybank Versus HotelClub CIMB - Which Is Better for Booking Your Hotel Rooms?

QUOTE(xiphius @ Oct 19 2012, 10:17 AM) Hi all. I'm planning a trip to Macau and Hong Kong somewhere around next year. Will be there for a week. 2 days in Macau and the rest HK. Long story cut short, Ive been searching for hotels or hostels in Macau (agoda, tripadvisor, hostels..etc). Most of them are kinda expensive, over our budgets. The cheap ones.... Well, came across some blogs that said dont stay in hostels that are cheap as they're infested by God knows what creatures or its just plain dirty. Me and my friends are searching one that is comfortably stay-able about RM100-200 range per night. Over a bit is still okay. Any recommendations? Pertolongan anda amat dihargai. Thanks in advance. In Macau, you can check out Best Western Sun Sun - room small but clean. Walking distance to Senoda Square.

I just published the first of my three articles related to my recent trip to Hong Kong and Macau. The first article is kind of short and it's about the hotel I stayed in. Click on below link to my Money For Luxury blogspot to read about the Royal Plaza Hotel in Mongkok and The Venetian Bella Suite in Macau where the rooms I stayed in had 2 queen beds. Royal Plaza Hotel Mongkok Hong Kong and The Venetian Macao Bella Suite.Stay tuned for my next article titled Hong Kong & Macau to be published at my main blog, which will be freaking long, hahaha. QUOTE(Human Nature @ Nov 26 2012, 10:59 PM) Haha yeah, what a short piece. I am anticipating the 2nd and 3rd articles  Bro, I just published my freaking long article titled Hong Kong and Macau where I recommended some places for food and touched on FREE shuttle bus rides in Macau and for HK,- ferry fares, taxi fares and MTR fares. I managed to buy a iPad mini from an authorised Apple Store in HK Also in my article, I have a very important message in the conclusion, i.e. please not do keep any valuables in your bag pack if you are going to store it in the plane's overhead cabin compartment. QUOTE(AskDS @ Dec 5 2012, 12:45 AM) @Gen-X, not sure if you can share you experience with Agoda.com. I just made a booking at Agoda.com for two nights at Venetian Macau. I was given a booking ID as well a voucher to the hotel. How do you know that the hotel have received the reservation from Agoda.com. I wrote to the reservation department of Venetian Macau asking for acknowledgement of the reservation but haven't heard from them yet. I just wanted to make that they have my reservation so that I don't get a surprise when I drop in in two weeks time. I'll probably will be calling them directly if I don't hear from them in two days time. TIA. Bro, sorry for the late reply. Just came back from Melbourne.I have booked rooms via Agoda many times and all I need to do is print the voucher and present it to the hotel. Never called or email the hotels to confirm the reservations. I booked my rooms with agoda at The Venetian, Grand Lisboa and Hong Kong Royal PlazaIn my previous article on Melbourne, I stayed at Formule 1, and I just came back from Melbourne today and stayed at Space Hotel this time. Both case, checked in close to 2am in the morning without any hassle by just simply presenting the Agoda voucher. This post has been edited by Gen-X: Dec 13 2012, 03:33 PM
