geee thanks stimix and Human Nature. Ima be there for like 3 nites 4 days , so i guess i'd have quite some time to roam around and check out its historical heritage. I've checked some webbies and boy, Macau does have many heritage sites (including its Canidrome, the one and only in asia it seems) but then, it'd be cool to know which are really interesting and worth visiting as i cant really see all, i guess. I've also seen Macau's tourism website and they have a few new places like the Science Centre and Panda Pavilion in Coloane.but so far i havent made up my mind if i wanted to go to those places.

but of course, Venetian and those major casinos are a must. Thats what Macau is mostly known for. LOL.

is the Zaia show at The Venetian worth watching in ur opinion?

Just came back from Macau. Had a wonderful experience staying in Grand Hyatt. Was welcomed with a bottle of white wine. Then the rest are history. Its easy to travel around as the transportation are free and the only thing i regretted is going to the Macau Tower. Waste of money, I would rather to take pictures at the outdoor area at ground floor.

Don't miss of African Chicken. That's my most memorable thing in Macau.

actually the reason im going to macau is because you know how they say that if u go HK u might as well visit macau too rite. and also the casino there, wanna have a look. im more into sight seeing, like the ruins of st paul etc etc.

just a tip, you can just use Ferry terminal as main bus stop to change bus to other hotel. This is what i did as most hotel provided transport to Ferry terminal.

When people go to Macau, all they think of is the casinos. The casinos are fine but if you are going to Macau on a day trip over from HK, then you are going to miss much of the charms Macau has to offer. On a day trip, you are probably going to spend half that time in some glitzy casinos leaving you with a rushed blur to visit the other things.

Here is my advise to people going to Macau:

1. If you are going there with the aim of gambling then you need no guide. Just hop onto any one of the free shuttle buses available at the ferry terminal and you are all set.

2. If you are going to Macau to explore Macau then I would recommend at least a 3 night stay. The good thing about Macau is that it's a small place. You can cover the Macau peninsula on foot if you wanted to. Getting around in Macau is simple. Free shuttle buses from major casinos can be found from most major hotels/casinos.

When in Macau:

a. Sample the Portuguese food. Macau has been under Portuguese rule and has develop a unique blend of east & west.

b. Visit the Historic Center. This covers the St. Paul ruins and some cathedrals around the area. You will need a day to cover this at a comfortable pace. Get a map from the airport that covers the historic center. They are free. You can start from the south of the Macau peninsula at A-Ma Temple and work your way upwards to Senado Square.

c. Visit Coloane. There you can see the rural lifestyle in Macau which contrasts the one in the Macau peninsula. Eat at Fernando's if you can get a place. It's the most famous Portuguese restaurant in Macau located in Hac Sa beach. Find Lord Stow's famous portuguese egg tart shop.

d. Tour the casinos. Visit the Venetian and the COD. They are the largest casinos in Asia after all. Take a walk around the Lisboa/Grand Lisboa/Wynn's casinos at night and enjoy the night view.
