MOP9 for a chicken/double beef or pork burger or about RM3.65 .. which I think is cheaper vs Malaysia, right ?

Found a chap fan stall along the historical site selling 3 meat plus 1 veg plus soup...can ta pau...they put the soup in a separate container...for MOP19.... or RM7.70. Quite cheap right ?

Pork chop bun selling for RM30 for 2, Lord Stew's egg tarts MOP7.

you can try going to grand lisboa, galaxy, COD, cotai central too.

what kind of food are you looking for?

for the lord stow's cafe at coloane, go to the garden cafe instead of the other one..there is a small panda pavilion along the way to coloane too

btw, margaret is closed on wednesday

Hi Keston,

thanks for your feedback. is it convenient to take the shuttle bus if i carry stroller with me all the time? is the shuttle bus will be too pack? Coz i have 3 kids with 2 strollers. 6 adults.

that is great that there is shuttle bus to go a ma temple. from a ma temple, is it easy to take taxi/bus to go to rua do cunha?

on the house of dancing waters, where do you purchase the tickets? smile.gif

Bungee jump at macau tower...for adult right? worth to visit macau tower? i have yet put this into my itinerary.

What? u have 5d4n also not enough explore macau alone? i have 4d3n and everyone telling me it is more than enough and tell me i should allocate a day to HK. LOL
*
The shuttle bus will depend on the time and destination, some will be pack. Since you are having strollers and kids, i recommend to just take the cab for convenience as the distances are not far and the taxi costs are not that expensive. Do note there will be surcharge if you place luggage inside boot.

On the house of dancing waters, you can purchase online at their website (head to City of dreams website) or you may purchase at the box office counter at COD. Recommended to purchase earlier as the seats are hot items.

Visit macau tower for the view and banquet maybe. The other activities like bungee, sky walking depends whether you like such activities or not.

No point allocating just a day to HK, waste of time and ferry cost. Save HK for another day.

Thanks for your tips and advice. im thinking to take cab instead of shuttle bus too. is it easy to get a cab around macau?

yea. i do agree that. so, i will have time and slowly explore macau for 4d3n, since i have elderly and kids with me. I already booked my HK air ticket for next year march 2015, and will hv full exploration then. hehe.
*
Yup, taking cab is easy and they use meters. If you cannot speak cantonese/Mandarin, do print out the address or picture of your destination

i agree. that's why when people just allocate 1 night in macau, i just recommend the normal tourist route. i like walking at macau peninsular, many little charms. i been to that MJ gallery too but the guard was rather unpleasant. Kept watching my every step as though i wanna steal the memorabilia laugh.gif

Yeah it is pretty pricey. Do send them an email to ask how to be eligible for discount..student price, casino membercard, etc. For me, I like it a lot..seen it twice already.

Hi guy, would like to have a quick check with everyone on airport departure tax.

I'm currently in Macau now and I heard I need to save up some local currency (MOL) to pay as tax when I'm heading back to Malaysia.

Is this true? If yes, how much local currency I need to save/pay.

Also, I'll be heading over to Hong Kong via ferry, do I have to pay departure tax too? Which means I'll have to pay twice in total (1. Leaving to HK, 2. Leaving back to Malaysia). Is this correct?

Your enlightenment is very much appreciated.

Thanks!
*
Nope, so such thing. It is already included in your flight ticket if you are departing from the airport.

is it okay if we just depends on public transport only? any possibilities of tourists get conned or overcharge?
*
perfectly safe. there will be some taxi asking for a flat rate at the airport instead of using meter. just ignore and take the free shuttle bus or get the next taxi.

List of places to go :

1. Ruins of St Paul
2. Senado Square
3. Grand Prix Musuem
4. Venetian Macau
5. City of Dreams

Is it possible if I can rely only on public transport?
*
Venetian-COD, walk across the street.

Take shuttle bus from Venetian/COD to Galaxy. Then take shuttle bus from Galaxy to Senado. Walk up to St Paul. All FOC biggrin.gif

Never been to the museum so no idea but i guess just few minutes taxi ride from senado square.

Hey guys im going to macau in next 2 weeks, im abit confuse on the currency, as some of u mention MOP, MOL & MPM. What the difference? And also how to get to the proper meter taxi at the airport heading to lisboa? Thanks in advance guys!!
*
MOP is Macau Pataca, their currency. Never heard of MOL or MPM before. I usually just convert MYR to HKD.

You can see people lining up for taxis once you stepped out of the airport. Lately, there are cases of taxis from airport that do not use meter (will quote you a figure) so better ask the driver first.
