from my personal experience, there are nothing to be done at macau! even the fisherman's wharf proven to be a waste of time(unless you make full use of it by taking pics of the buildings). but i spent one whole day at venetian tho. hehes. love the interior of venetian and four seasons.

Better take the ferry to HK and come back late.. there are only casinos at night, so boring.. Unless you want to "massage"

Those are mainly day time activities, at night really boring. I stayed opposite the "nest", not sure the other side of Macau at night

can go to Taipa and Cotai at day time.

can go to the Macau tower at night time .. it opened till 9p.m..

if you are going during its dogs racing season, can go to c dogs racing too

we took bus (around MOP7 per pax) to Taipai at night.. even we just sat for one round turn and get off at the place we went up the bus but it gave different feelings with day time.. anyway, i felt it is nice to walk around at macau downtown too.. it gave diff feels too

regarding casinos, i don't really like to gamble there as mostly they charge commissions

recommend taipa+cotai and macau tower(esp the one with the glass floor tht you could look down). but all these can be done very fast also.

I done those within 1/2 day covering Venetian once reaching airport & after lunch, Public bus to Grand Lisboa & walked from there till St Paul ruin b4 taking Public bus crossing over to Zhuhai biggrin.gif But what I'm telling earlier is who said Macau is boring..although can cover within 1 day. rclxms.gif or even 1/2 day!

Added on July 15, 2009, 5:13 pmNo Visa required but I think it's not easy to find budget accomodation in Macau..I can't afford staying in macau too long, thus covered Macau within that day & cross-over to Zhuhai & stayed there instead. Avg cheapest acc per nite in Macau from this thread probably ~HK$400 up to HK$600..Staying in China is 1/2 of Macau price for same standard of hotel. smile.gif

Not sure where is the central bus station but normally buses start & end at the macau main Jetty...probably this is what you want?

The 4 seaon hotel is part of Venetian complex at Cotai. There is a small bus terminal at Venetian too but the buses are normally chatered or the Venetian free shuttle servuice to the airport & main jetty...for local public buses, you need to o to the back of Venetian & wait at any bus stops around there.

BTW, Venetian is located at the reclaimed land covering Cotai & Taipa island...thus, it's not near to the Macau jetty or the main bus station (?- not sure about this)

On my last day in Macau, I was lucky to get a cheap hotel from a forumer here at RM150..enuf for me to stay overnite for my early flight back to KL. You can try here..I think I stayed at bbest western..MOP299 is similar to my rate...u can try this..very near to the airport

Venetian is very near to the airport infact you can walk from the airport to Venetian during winter...not now..only 1.5km away. But the main bus terminal is probably at the main Macau jetty which is located at mainland Macau & not Taipa island
