I will be going to Macau this Christmas under AA DIY package. The package is inclusive of flight + tour + hotel. The trip is from 26 Dec 2008 until 29 Dec 2008.

My hotel is Hou Kong Hotel and theres a half day city tour included.

Beside's Macau, I am thinking about visiting Gong Bei Complex in Zhuhai and also Hong Kong if I have the time.

I think in December which is winter season, its going to be very cold. Hopefully not as cold as Canada where their temperature like minus celcius.

Anyone been to Macau-Zhuhai-HK together?

Dun worry about buses from Zhuhai to Guangzhou & bck. Read more on my 4D3N travelogue from Macau>Zhuhai>Guangzhou>Shenzhen>Hong Kong posted in the Hong Kong thread here:

1) Macau to Zhuhai (use public buses from Macau to Zhuhai- very near only)

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=22027820

2) Zhuhai to Guangzhou (Bus every 15min /1/2 hr to Guangzhou- VIP =RMB75, Non VIP =RMB65 /way)
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=22059054

3) Shenzhen> Hong-Kong-Macau

Plenty to do especially during X-mas and New Years time.

I jusr come back on 29th December 2008 after a 4 days 3 night trip. The temperature there was like 20C on the 26th December 2008 and drop to 16C on 29th December 2008.A cool weather makes it pleasant for touring around Macau on your own.

Theres plenty of free shuttle provided by the casino in Macau which you can take to tour around the place. All casino shuttle stop at either the Macau-HK ferry pier or the Macau border called "kwan chap". For example you stayed in the Senado area and wish to visit The Venetian and the nearest hotel with free shuttle is Ponte 16. You just walk to Ponte 16 and take a free shuttle with the hotel and they will send you to Macau-HK Ferry pier. From there wait for the Venetian shuttle bus and they will send you to the Venetian in no time foc.

There is the fisherman wharf and guan yin statue which you can reach by taking free shuttle to Macau Ferry Pier first and then take another shuttle to Babylon Casino.

Furthermore when Senado Square is fully lite up in the evening, its the most beautiful place. Not forgetting St Paul Ruin which is quite magnificent. For souvenirs hunter, along the hike to the St Paul Ruin from Senado Square, there will be plenty to bargain and you will be spoilt for choice.

Besides that Macau is also the gateway to Zhuhai. You just need to pass the Macau border custom and the GongBei massive shopping complex will wait for you. But be prepared to bargain until the end coz those mainlander dare to quote the highest price whenever they sell anything.

Theres also plenty of casino there like The Sands and also others such as Grand Lisboa. All these casino will lite up in the nite and lo and behold of the sight juz like Las Vegas. In Macau they called it Cotai Strip.
