If i were you,
I would have ask for refund for giving defect device. hmm.gif

Just try your luck go to center first,
if they don't have stock basically that's their fault.
So they must have something to compensate for you.

Is it still within 14 days?

Hmmm, so gap problem usually happens on silver colour eh. Anyone with black having gap of death ?

I don't see any , at least for me.

That's what I thought, its very rare to see black with gap.

Most are from silvers.
Reds are coming soon officially,and I expect that the gaps are solved.

I read at HTC facebook , got one person enquired about red stock.

They just replied we can chck at Digital Mall and Lowyat.

Well, for sure .

I was actually check customer service HTC Malaysia, and its actually pretty bad based on FB comments.

I suggest ,for warranty, do not use courier services, walk-in face to face instead.

My suggestion, don't just yet.
Wait until the stocks are replenish well then do a replacement. A lot of bad things could possible happen if you do now.

Well it's best to check rigorously for gap of death first before purchase irregardless from which country's manufactured.
If there is,demand for another box!

I'm hoping maxis will launch black color already by early next month.
I can't wait to get this device (started to dream about it already icon_question.gif )

I don't think you should worry about quality of which country that manufactured the device.
I believe it is just a belief tongue.gif

These are official manufacturer (as far as i know)

SH = Shanghai, China
HT = Hsinchu, Taiwan
FA = New factory dunno where

Just check what is necessary before purchasing it.
eg : imei correctness,gapping,etc.

Well certainly it has some flaw for every unit,that's why warranty exist hey? Just pray not to get the critical flaw flex.gif

Yes, I believe you can do 121 exchange at service center for gap issue. But first they have to check the stock if its available for exchange. (I think their re-stock volume is very minimal, due to HTC current problems)
It may take 1-2 weeks and also if they have a stock.
If they don't have the stock, I am afraid you have to continue waiting till they have it.

So my suggestion, wait til the stocks are replenish only then do an exchange. (This is what ill do aswell,if my device are suffering from defects)

You can also contact HTC team straight rather than contacting SiS for clarification on warranty (eg gap,dead pixel)
and also be firm when claiming your warranty,use your anger if you should. tongue.gif
