Where u location? If u usually gets gud signal using other phone, than it probably sign of hardware issue.
Regarding beats weird sound, what do u mean?

I saw my fren using S4 and Iphone 5 at the same location without any connection problem. even trying to do speedtest require several retry. for the sound, there's like artifact(dont know what its called) in the music if i play using max volume and beats audio. not really a noise since it only happen in some part of the song. tried on different music online and offline..

erm...not heavy ka?lastime i use iphone also feel not comfortable..mayb u can try search from the garage sale..if none then have to import..

my exp with armband on iphone it always want to slip down and you have to adjust evrytime..put inside pocket most comfortable.. this one is bigger probably even worse..better u use gps watch ka..hehe

For the info as u said Taiwan ....... that i wont put cause mine set if from taiwan and there is a huge gap issue and i bring if to my friens shop and change a new unit and it is a china set. Miracle when i open and check throught is was better than my taiwan set phone w/o gap problem. So conclusion is buy phone is see ur luck de not say taiwan is best. 

My friend HTC One Taiwan set phone bought then 3 days later back button not working also go to get a replacement unit so .......
